I`m moving to orange in the near future, on their up to 8 Meg package which is

i think you can use your own modem unless you want free calls. im using orange modem purely for wireless and free international calls. it doesnt hurt to try =)

I used my 510 speedtouch router before my livebox arrived ....think about the voip telephone connection and usb socket ( printer use} plus future bluetooth enabled before making your mind not to use the livebox.

The livebox performs to my expectations and am quite happy to use it.

Short answer NO. I take it that you don't want to make use of the talk side of the package, or anything else that is brought out in the future.

The downside would be not a lot of technical help if you have a problem or even in setting up your Orange connection as they have no trainng for that router. You can find out the settigs that you will need on the Orange help pages .and typing kb193 into the search bar.
