What Upload speed can I expect with Orange LLU up to 20Meg?

[link to this post]

Hi,
I currently have BT up to 8Meg BB both at home & at my workshop, I have recently experience a significant slowing of my connection speeds at peak periods. One of the main reasons that I have BB is so that I can view the workshop's CCTV from home, at non-peak periods the CCTV connects at 375kbps (upload speed from the workshop), which gives me a CCTV refresh rate of around 1.6 Frames Per Second. At that speed the CCTV is perfectly watchable, but at busy periods this can drop to about 1 frame every 15 seconds, which is a waste of time, not to mention money!
As I have become unhappy with the BT packages I have been looking for other options, the only one of which appears to be Orange LLU (Chard exchange). My first home BB package was Orange which was FAR worse than BT, but this was about 3 years ago so I assume that this was probably pre-LLU although Sam Knows does not give a date (in fact one area of Sam Knows does not think that we have any LLU options).
If Orange IS now LLU'd, I should be able to get up to 20Meg download, but I assume that the Upload speed will be greater than my current 0.4Meg, which should have significantly enhance the CCTV performance!
What download rate can I expect if it is LLU'd?

Make sure they confirm that you will be on LLU rather than your exchange is LLU'd. They could run outta LLU lines.

This is the output from my router - a Netgear 834N running DGTeam firmware: it shows a lot more than the normal status page does.
I am currently at about 12.5meg. When I signed up Orange told me I would get a minimum of 14 meg and I assumed seeing as I'd always had very good connections in the past that I would get higher than 14 and Orange were just covering themselves by underestimating my line, but right now I dont know whats going on. I'm not complaining at 12 meg, but wish it was faster!!

/usr/sbin/adslctl: ADSL driver and PHY status
Status: ShowtimeRetrain Reason: 8000
Channel: FAST, Upstream rate = 959 Kbps, Downstream rate = 12284 Kbps
Link Power State: L0
Mode: ADSL2+
Channel: Fast
Trellis: U:ON /D:ON
Line Status: No Defect
Training Status: Showtime
........................Down.............Up
SNR (dB):........14.9..............16.3
Attn(dB):..........17.5................8.7
Pwr(dBm):.......18.9..............12.4
Max(Kbps):......24592...........960
Rate (Kbps):....12284..........959

Someone said my low speed was down to the downstream attenuation; I've never had a problem before but I've never been on LLU/ADSL2 before either! Going to wait a few days and see what happens. I got an email from Orange when my line was activated (Thursday or Wednesday, cant remember) and it said that over the next 10 days my line speeds would fluctuate as they test for the highest stable speed the line can support. I might even throw in the Orange router just to see if I get any other results, although I got the exact same with a Linksys WAG54G2 that I have.

Thanks for that advice, I should get round to calling them in the next day or so!

Yeah, it was confirmed when I signed up on the phone that my exchange was LLU'd, but in the end it turned out they put me on IPStream 'cos their LLU capacity at my exchange was full.
