Hi, can someone please clarify the jargon Orange use i.e. from £9.50 a month for Home MAX, plus £10.50 Orange line rental. http://shop.orange.co.uk/broadband/
What do they mean by from, as I am thinking of going for it?
Orange have LLU my exchange at KNOWLE.

The "From" price is when you are put on an LLU connection. Otherwise you pay more if you are on IPStream; £10 more I think, but can't tell as site is unresponsive.

Hi XRaySpeX, thanks for the reply, so it looks good. January Orange put shiny new LLU equipment in my exchange, but Orange checker says I can only get 8Mbps, I was hoping for 16Mbps, I am only 715 metres from the exchange. Maybe the line is very old, but I get top BT MAX speed.

You'll only get LLU if Orange has spare LLU ports at your exchange. Otherwise you will be put on IPStream, but maybe charged the LLU price. Perhaps that's why they quote only 8 Meg. You need to make it clear with them before you sign up.
Do you have your current router stats, so we can see?
You could save a further £3 pm if you have an Orange mobile contract.

Your U/S Attn. looks wrong; it's usually about 1/2 of D/S. But I only know LLU; maybe it's different for ADSL Max.

Hi XRaySpeX, I phoned Orange (the support centre in Glasgow) to enquire about LLU and why the checker says I can only get upto 8Mbps, the guy said, you will be on Orange LLU not BT IPstream because of the price £20 per month for Orange Home Max and you will get speeds of up to 20Meg and unlimited downloads as standard. So I signed up, real chuffed Now I got to order my Samsung LE40C650 Internet TV.

Hi XRaySpeX, I thank you for your help, yeah real cool.
I am a low user so wont be going mad on the network, but the higher speeds will be useful, 16 Meg maybe.
Unbelievable, but I found it not so easy to find the Orange sales phone number on the website.
The Orange link in my original post has malfunctioned, so I give it again.

Thanks! Unbelievable, but I found it not so easy to find the Orange sales phone number on the website.
The Orange link in my original post has malfunctioned, so I give it again. The Orange link you gave in your OP, http://shop.orange.co.uk/broadband/ , does work now and the phone #, 0800 072 5563, is in top R.
