how to make an o2 thomson router on orange?

i was with o2 broadband but i have switched to orange but the wireless is really low ,upstairs is very bad and keep cutting off,i wonder if the problem comes from the router,i was wondering if i could use the thomson wireless box IV that i had with o2.how do i flash it or unclock to orange?
i tried switching channel no luck, and customer service is hopeless.

please help me out here

You can't! The O2 box is hard-coded for the O2 connection parameters only.

yes that s the one but i don't think is very good, i agree with your configuration but i can't do much if the router is already set up for different provider unless i can flash it or something but dont know how ;-(

Hi, set the Netgear DGN1000 router wireless to 802.11g only and channel 9 see if that improves it.

All I could find on the O2 router; but it does not allow you to unlock the router.

login = SuperUser
password = O2Br0ad64nd

ID: SuperUser (the ID is CASE SENSITIVE, ie with S and U in capitals)
Password: O2Br0ad64nd (ie with digits 2064, the first O & B being capital letters)


Experiment: try to configure the O2 router as the wireless access point.

what s exactly is a wireless acces point? an extra router ?

It is a wireless access point - does what it says on the tin, takes an ethernet network and provides wireless access to it.

e.g. http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/Shop/ShopSearch.asp?...

It does not create a secondary network which is what routers do
