Cant use FTP programs or other Applications

I am on orange broadband usingthe supplied Netgear N150 wireless router.

I have numerous problems with using applications in windows where either they will work for a short time and no longer work or just do not work at all. When I say not work it cannot connect to either myservers or upload files or it works for a period of time and then does not work any more but I can still access website.

I dont know if it helps but the two main programs I use are

Navicat and CrossFTP the first connects to a mysql server and the other is a basic file uploader. Also I have never been able to send emails from Outlook since moving to Orange.

I know it is not a problem with the applications as when I use my 3 Mobile dongle everything works fine and never stops working. But it is becoming very annoying now.

If anyone has any ideas which could solve this it would be appreciated.

Hi, have you configured Outlook for Orange email service correct.
