Time? Only the engineer at the exchange who physically changes your ADSL jumpering and his work schedule for the day.

Historically Orange LLU maintained a "high" standard SNR margin at about 10db. However Orange are now provisioning new and existing users on their up to 20Meg services on BT's WBC. From my experience this can lead (eventually - seems to take at least 10 days) to a 6dB SNR if the line can take it in terms of stability, and the line profiling is now closer to the sync speed than used to be the case with BT-based services. An improvement I hope on the former Orange LLU which seemed to be good or bad depending as much, it seemed to me, on luck as anything! Up speeds seem to settle at around 1Meg.

I hope so - that being said Orange are known for promises, promises, promises . . .
However, I've been lucky enough to find they've been true to their word, (at least when things are within their control, which BT aren't).

you on orange llu still? Yes, I am still on LLU which has been very stable, but I only get half the 20 Mbps speed. Maybe it will improve with the change over.
