Can you use you're on router?

Folks,

Can anyone tell me if I can use my own router on the Orange network please?

I'm not sure if you can choose you're own username/password or whether its hidden in the router they provide.

I'm not a fan of Netgears stuff so would much prefer to use my own equipment if I can.

Hi Colin, yes, you can use your own router with Orangehome broadband; they send you your username and password by email. For username, they use your surname with numbers and they ask you to create your own alpha numeral password.

It was a choice of Sky, TalkTalk or Orange but now I know I can use my own router and perhaps more importantly can stay on the BT network with Orange I'm gonna give them the nod.

I'd rather pay a little bit more than the other two and save a lot of hassle at the end of twelve months in switching again (should it come to that.)

But from what I read on here Orange look as good as any since they went over to BT equipment so they'll get my money lol.

Hi Colin, if you are going with Orange make sure your exchange has the new gear install for 21CN WBC. Orange don�t do their LLU anymore it is WBC 20Meg.

Check your exchange http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange_search

Orange made the right move going on to the BT network for their broadband and landline phone service.

Yes I'm 21CN WBC enabled...although Orange are shown under the LLU listings.

But Orange are quoting me a 17mb download maximum so I'm sure I'm on the right plan.
