how to increase upload speed

Hi, My download speed using brightbox is ok ( betwen 12 to 16 meg). However my upload speed is low by comparison, between 0.6 to 0.8 meg. (using this site speed test). Is there a way to increase the upload speed without disturbing the download speed. I have searched around and found the solutions are implausible.

What are your router stats (under Advanced/System/ADSL Status)?

The best Up Sync Speed therein that Orange offers is about 1.1 to 1.2 Meg. You are getting no more than 1 Meg.

Other ISPs, like Be, offer a mode called Annex M that gives UP Syncs in excess of 2 Meg at a small expense of Down Sync, but Orange doesn't.
