Hello,
Had major speed problems for last few months. At the moment it's at 0.1Mbps, hardly useable especially when I work from home for the odd day in the week.
Been like this since the weekend. Happens every week for days at a time then fixes itself back to about 1/1.5Mbps, still not fast!
Spoke to Orange tech several times over last few months. Done all usual tests, replaced filters, changed cat5 cables, reset router to factory settings, used main phone socket to connect router to etc, etc. Never get any joy from the tech and they cannot help further so I'm stuck !!!
Anyone please got any ideas what I can do? (funny thing is that upstream is rarely affected, it's always the downstream speed??)
Thanks.

Download is actually 22.99Kbps, up is 113Kbps Does "actually" mean your router stats? Need those!

Yep those are the real speeds as reported by the speed test. Very sad

Information needed from your router, for others to be able to comment
Noise Margin Up / Down
Attenuation Up / Down
Connection Speed to Exchange Sync Up / Down
Router Log if you have.
Exchange you are on
AdslMax or ?
What you are giving is only through ISP.

No, speedtests are useless w/out router stats!
We need your full router stats taken from the Web interface of the router if you want our comments.
Until we get those we couldn't possibly help you. I asked for them in my previous post, but all you did is agree to a false statement. Very sad

Anyone please got any ideas what I can do? (funny thing is that upstream is rarely affected, it's always the downstream speed??) If you look at the diagram here ADSL Signals you will see that the downstream is using higher frequencies. These are more suceptable to being crippled by things such as corrosion (or water in the cables due to flooding) etc.

But it's OP's throughput that is abysmally low. His Syncs are good.
