Wow! My Orange mobile phone is now EE

My mobile phone where it had Orange on the screen is now EE, so I've lost my Orange mobile phone it's now EE.

I wonder, does this mean tomorrow Orange home broadband will be EE and they will offer Fibre home broadband with 50 or 100 Mbps speed.

Yeah, I think rebranding the name EE is rubbish compared to orange. I thought Orange had the best brand name of all the UK networks and a clever logo that stood out, clean attractive and simple. What ever happened to the slogan...

I nearly joined Orange when they launched Wildfire but that was short lived.

Had Orange PCS become publicly traded on the LSE the old Orange might still have been around.

It all went pear shaped when Hans Snook left I think.

Don�t get me wrong I�m an Orange troll! I have unlimited broadband, landline phone, landline rental and mobile phone with Orange all for £25.50 per month and have no problems with the services or price.

I was going for the HTC Wirefire S mobile phone, but last January Apple was off loading their iPhone 3GS mobile phones and I got one from T-Mobile £15.50 per month. It�s rubbish as a phone, but I can get no end of apps for it, I have upgraded to the latest iOS 6 firmware and use it as a hand held computer and play solitaire. It�s my pocket iPad and I sometimes use it as a phone.

They did float on the LSE when they had less than 1m customers. The company was valued at about £2bn, an absolute steal in a market with huge growth potential and almost total barriers to new entrants.

I remember buying the shares for less than £2 each in 1996 and selling them for nearly £20 each in 1999 when they got bought out by Mannesmann. Almost immediately, Vodafone bought Mannesmann and was later forced to sell Orange.

Oh for another tech bubble!
