Wow! I just noticed the EE Bright Box router now has configuration settings for Modem Mode. The Orange EE Bright Box is indeed a super duper router.

ADSL MODE
This page allows you to specify the ADSL standards to operate with. You may explicitly set a specific standard, or choose "Automatic" to automatically negotiate with remote DSLAM.
ADSL mode
Automatic
G992.1 (G.DMT)
G992.3 (ADSL2)
G992.5 (ADSL2+)
G992.3 Annex-M
G992.5 Annex-M

Bit Swapping - Enable Disable
SRA - Enable Disable

To locate the page go > Advanced Set-Up > [Accept] > ADSL Mode smile

Not to be confused with Modem Only Mode which someone wanted for the Livebox.

I missed that one then, I didn�t see it! grin I am really impress with the Bright Box router, I only see the marked brown Fibre connection port when you pointed it out in one of your posts. Is it connected from that port to the BT Fibre modem then?

I don't remember doing that but I expect so as they intend to use the same router for Fibre, making use of this setting:
Broadband Type: o ADSL o Fibre/Ethernet
