torrent issues with EE

Hi all
i have just joined EE and have now found that i am unable to use torrents is there a setting in the adsl modem of is this normal for EE ?

What do you mean cant use?

Are they just slow?

have tried starting some torrents over the last couple of days and none seem to work all show as having seeders and leechers but just sit there
turned the firewall off no change
its the first time i have used torrents since i got the connection and wondered if it was EE or a setting on the Router

Definitely shouldn't be blocked completely.
I doubt a router setting would totally block things. Perhaps slow it down but not entire block

sorted it thanks was the client i was using after all that joys of using a MAC
swopped to utorrent alls well now

Best use BitTorrents overnight or EE will slow your connection down to a crawl slower than dial-up.
