Have been with Freeserve-Wanadoo-Orange and now EE for broadband, exchange is 21cn enabled so expect between 6-7Mbps- though orange only estimates the line can do 2.5Mbps, upload is still capped.
Package is a old one: Home Select - £23.49 a month, Livebox wireless router, unlimited usage allowance (fair use policy applies). Plus inclusive calls at anytime using your Livebox to 30 international destinations (fair use policy applies).
Router that we have is a beklin wireless G+ is about 8 years old and have not gotten a upgraded via orange for a few years.
So firstly with the package options are the existing orange home packages via the member centre obsolete now as i assume the EE packages replace them?
With any new package i would recieve a newer router or can i get one on the existing package?
thanks

Post router stats please?
I'm also on legacy Home Select but w/out line rental. I got the new Brightbox router out of them when they were messing with my speeds.
Orange's estimates of speeds seem always conservative. I get 20 Meg; they say 13 Meg .
The package options via the member centre are valid and are the EE ones. I have 6 offered: ADSL or Fibre x Off-Peak, Anytime or Anytime Mobile.

The diff in speeds between those is solely down to the NM. Orange have a habit of holding it unnecessarily too high.
You may even not be on 21CN ADSL2+, not that it will make much diff to you at your line length.
Can you tell your ADSL Mode from router? What router?

Router is a BelkinWireless G+ f5d7633-4, the asdl mode is interleave.
Ive seen about 7.5 down before so it has been a improvement, from the 3-4 previously.

asdl mode is interleave. No, I didn't mean that. I meant ADSL, ADSL2 or ADSL2+ or G992.x

I can access the router but the line modulation is hidden- found this via google, go down to 10 and then 4.

Yes, they've still got you on ADSL Max at a good speed.
At your distance you won't benefit from ADSL2+, but if you can get them to put you on WBC and you run on ADSL1 or ADSL2 only you would get a better upstream.

the modulation saying id G.DMT it will may make difference if will change manually to ADSL 2 ???

You could try it, but if they have you on G.DMT it won't take. You can only force a downgrade from the exchange setting.

Thanks for your help, the increase in upload would be good so will see what Orange can do, only another few years till FTTC comes.
