What speed should i be getting

Please could you comment if im getting the correct speed my line will support. I seem to get a problem with my line at least once a year, the last one being in January. Openreach fixed the line but my speed seems slow. Im certain I got faster speeds on llu

I presume the modem is showing the downstream attenuation and noise margin figures the wrong way around

If downstream sync is 51dB and its noise margin 18dB then you are about mid range for the attenuation

Normal speed range at 51dB attenuation is 3300 Kbps to 5600 Kbps

Time to find a modem that shows sensible looking statistics. 400 Kbps upstream looks very like the provider may be running a capped/band setup on the line.

Those router stats seem to be displaying haphazardly. What router is it? Can you get another?

@Andrew: Believe you have mixed them.up.

I read them, with difficulty, that you are syncing Down at 4376 kbps on an Attenuation of 33.9 dB with 5.1 dB NM.

In which case your line is seriously underperforming. You should be getting 9 - 10 Meg Sync.

It is quite possible that your ISP has put you on a banded profile, possibly due to some past instability.

Have you removed ring wire and plugged into test socket?

Changed modem from Linksys to tplink and this is the stats being reported.

Bit better & more understandable. Don't like the 0.1 dB NM; on the point of discon. Must be considerable noise on line.

also, I think the numbers shown should all have a decimal point before the last digit.

Is how i would interperate the stats, the power in bold ,-? strange reporting

with a ds attenuation of 33.9db you should be looking at around 13mbps or more sync 4.5mb is a long way off, Looks like DLM has been very active, and the IPprofile is way too low for some reason,therefore your sync and throughput are lower than they would be on LLU without DLM ect running on it
