Accessing Brightbox Settings - How??!!

I finally installed my Brightbox yesterday replacing my ageing Livebox but I am trying to access to the settings of the Brightbox.

I go to http://192.168.1.1/ but nothing seems to happen. The web brewer seems to try and connect with it but nothing happens.

Any ideas why it maybe doing this?

The IP address http://192.168.1.1 should connect you with your Bright box wireless router. If the the IP address will not connect then factory reset the router.
Before you factory reset the router make sure you know your broadband username and password.

Good news I just turned it on and off before I factory reset it and it now works. I can now connect.

The next question is how do I see the noise margins and line actuation?

Also those advanced settings should I use them?

I wrote down what I was getting on my Livebox and what I am getting now with my Brightbox to compare

Livebox -
Noise Margin - 4.9
Attenuation - 30
Attenuation Download Rate kps - 16370
Downstream - 15323
Upstream 1022

Speedtest - 6.87mps and 0.86mps

Brightbox -
Upstream 966 (Kbps.)
Downstream 17220 (Kbps.)
Noise Margin 5.3 dB 3.1 dB
Line Attenuation 15.3 dB 29.0 dB

Speedtest - 14.44mps and 0.82mps

I can't believe that its so much quicker than before. Is anyone able to interprtate this data and what has improved, it seems that the noise margin has got lower, would this have a big impact on speed?

Also with the Livebox we use to get alot of interference from other routers being on the same channel however I believe that the Brightbox auto switches to the best channel I presume and would this have impact on speed?

Also Brightbox only connected for 1 day so I suppose it needs time to settle yet.

Your stats are good. Up sync could be a bit faster.

WBC DLM will lower the Target NM to 3dB on stable lines with a consequent increase in sync. It may have been the same with the Livebox at sync time but it had drifted upwards a bit.

Best to re-sync during daylight to get best stats.

Wireless will not affect your sync speed but will affect throughput from wireless devices and is generally variable.

Thanks will try that. How do I forcefully resync the Brightbox?

Go� Advanced Set-Up > Accept > Tools > Restart
