New EE broadband order and connection is slow

Hi all,

I decided to join this forum as I was wanting to ask some questions on why my connection would be slow. I've only just had my EE broadband activated on Wednesday evening and the speed hasn't been what EE say it could be. I know my line is ADSL2+ so I should be getting 11mbps+ right?

Here are my stats from my Bright Box. Do EE do the 10 day speed thing like Sky do? I remember my speed went up from 2mbps up to 15mbps on Sky within a few days, but my speed has stayed around 6mbps on EE since Wednesday.

Yes, you should be getting well over 11 Meg with that Target NM looking like 3 dB. But give it 10 days as Orange/BTw seems to operate a funny learning period.

Post rest of router stats so we can see error counts.

You've re-synced since last set as speed has changed. Would you post "Time Connected:" from top Status page with any future stats?

These are high if you have just rebooted (they are only zeroised on reboot).

Could point to noisy line. Try plugging into hidden test socket; swap filters; remove ring wire.

box keeps dropping connection every 20 mins now

Stats are good. You have long line. What exchange you on?

Do BT Quiet Line Test (17070 Opt 2) with router disconned. Any noise report as voice fault.

im on attercliffe exchange in sheffield,im about 1.5miles from exchange and nearest cabinet is 800 meteres away
