Shocking Tech Support

Please help.

I telephoned Orange support about the below brightbox logs. Spoke to lots of agents, who could not understand a word I was saying, let alone the matter I was contacting them about. I was cut off 5 times when contacting them too + very poor line quality when connected. I have spoken to Placid a manager, who promised a call back from 2L support at 08:15 today. Guess what no call back!! surprise, surprise. Can the Orange rep on here please have someone contact me, and also pass on the feedback about your "support team".

Have you looked at the IP address of the PC you are using to connect to the Brightbox, as guessing it has a local LAN IP of 192.168.1.109 and the Brightbox is complaining about some odd packets this computer is generating.

One assumes you've done the usual AV and malware scans to be happy there is nothing untoward on the machines on your local network.

Ignore those DoS log msgs. They are generated by 1 of the PCs on your own LAN.

I get the same whenever my Vista laptop powers on, but not my XP PCs. I don't know the cause but I do know my Vista PC is safe and OK, so I just ignore them.

Yes, Orange support is abysmal. The have no BB expertise beyond "swap filters and reboot router" and are forbidden to employ their brains. Obviously their training is vastly lacking. No point prolonging a complaint with them, certainly not outside their formal written Complaints process; you'll get nowhere and give yourself grief.

Greetings.

If they are from internal network i would not worry as long as you know who is connect to the network,
I get these when i use port scanner's to pick up devices connected to the network.
