I've had Fiber broadband from EE for some months now and never had a problem. In-fact, I do not have a problem with the broadband itself now.
My problem appears to be the addition of a new PC to the network. Since I have had it the network periodically slows right down, then disappears and after a few minutes comes back. A quick look into the Bright Box log shows lots (and I mean lots) of attacks that appear to coincide with this:
Fri Sep 20 14:28:17 2013 Possible DoS attack detected from 192.168.1.48(xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx)
Fri Sep 20 14:28:17 2013 Possible DoS attack detected from 192.168.1.48(xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx)
Fri Sep 20 14:28:17 2013 Possible DoS attack detected from 192.168.1.48(xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx)
The IP is the new PC. I have searched for this but I cannot find a definitive solution. I do know that simply unplugging or disabling the network card in the machine resolves the issue for the other devices.
Any help greatly appreciated...
