### GREETINGS! ###
This is a public appeal.
Later this year, EE/Orange/whatever they will be called then, are releasing the "Bright Box 2" router to customers who take up fibre.
Pre-release photos:

I'd like to get hold of one of these boxes, so I can hack it and see what's going on inside, and hopefully work out some fresh exploits for the device. If anyone would be willing to donate me one of these routers, once it is launched, I shall get right down to hacking it without delay, and shall then post ALL discovered pin-outs, serial port connection details and relevant photos, immediately.
Just a heads up for the community, as (to the best of my knowledge), the device is not available yet (confirmed when I called EE's press office). Odd that the user guides are already online though... :-/

God bless you, many thanks!

Examining the PDF, it's in CMYK colours (usually used for printing), which I guess are not handled properly by the PDF.js viewer built in to Firefox (especially as there's not embedded colour profile). Firefox did warn you that it might not have displayed the image properly.
It's a little unusual to see a CMYK PDF offered for viewing on screen - usually graphics for viewing on screen are converted to RGB.

To see real colours use "Open with Diff Viewer".
1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up => 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB => 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB => 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU => 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU => 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC

To see real colours use "Open with Diff Viewer". Yes I did spot that the second time around (first was quick peek at the office)

Okay... well it's definitely NOT pink
So now we've all agreed on the actual colour of the device, I hope I can get hacking it asap! If anyone cares to donate one to me (I cannot get fibre yet) please get in touch.
Adios!

Will the bright box 2 work on both fibre and existing ADSL connections?
Would be nice to benefit form the 5Ghz option.

Doesn't surprise me. They didn't even know it existed, when I asked... >_<

Just a heads up for the community, as (to the best of my knowledge), the device is not available yet (confirmed when I called EE's press office). Odd that the user guides are already online though... :-/
It's available now but only for new customers ordering a 76Mbs package online.

EE are sending me one as I am having problems with the existing Bright Box - I've been contacted by management, so that's a relief. Technical details will be available within the next 2 weeks or so.

Hello there
I'm sorry it's taken me *so* long to reply - I don't come here very much. I would LOVE the Bright Box 2 - it's almost impossible to get "EE" to send one to an ADSL customer such as myself, so this is a golden opportunity. I really appreciate your generosity, thank you.
Okay, I have sent you a private message so we may continue the interchange of address details etc.
Again, thank you so much, God bless you,
Matt.
