Has my brightbox died?

Hi al, long story short, adsl dropped, many brightbox restarts and restores later and phone calls to EE i now have the following.

its rubbish, is there anything i can change in the settings to improve this or is this an EE/BT issue?

is this straight after a router reboot?

the downstream snr of 0.6db indictes there is ALOT of noise on the line

have you tried the quiet line test by using a corded if possible phone disconnecting the broadband and ringing 17070 and press option 2, listen for any hisses, pops or crackles and if there is you need to report the issue to EE as an LANDLINE problem mentioning broadband someimes makes things worse

'Time Connected' on Status page at the same time as those full stats. They need to be correlated. Next time take these stats from the hidden test socket behind the removable faceplate of your master socket. How many phone sockets do you have? When you remove that faceplate do all the other sockets have no dial tone?

How long you had BB? How long you been with EE? Who were you with previously? Has it always been like this?

You should be on 'Operation Mode G992.5(ADSL2+)' getting a down sync of at least 10 Meg but this:

DO the QLT (17070) as suggested and take a look at this: Improve your adsl broadband connection speed, particularly The test socket & Removing the Ring Wire.

Did noise test can't say it was crackle to be honest.

They have booked an eng. to cone out saying its a fault with my master socet
I don't have a ntes5 or what ever socket its an old old one just have 2 wires in it straight from the telegraph pole.

I think its a Cock up at the exchange near me but I know that somehow I will end up paying for it.

Those stats were after bb was on and co nected for about an hour.

Could not find an uptime but if that means connected tone then it was not long.
