I thought you good people would like to see the front & back of the brand new EE "Smart router", and inside the admin UI. This device is part of their new "Smart WiFi" package offering.
The bumpf in the bag said the EE "4GEE Mini" was in there, but as I was informed by CS that it's sent separately, I do not yet have it to explore for you.
Okay, so here's ALL the internal UI elements I could find, screenshotted, and back/front views of the "Smart router" - I've literally only JUST taken it out of the box, so I should get more photos uploaded soon, plus I've made a brief "overview video" of the "Smart router" and the single, supplied "EE Smart WiFi Disc":

That is so unbelievably like the insides of a BT Smart Hub UI.........
Just a few things in different places, that's about all, oh, and green instead of blue!

What are the 3 pieces of kit of this new EE "Smart WiFi" product & their function?
I know one is a Mesh/Disk WiFi extender but the other 2 both seem to be mobile routers with SIMs.
May I link to your pix on the EE forum?

As TrevorSP comment, very similar to the BT UI. The 4GEE Mini will probably be a USB dongle on a 1m lead.
One niggle is that, on the BT and I guess EE too, is that you cannot select teh WiFi Channel you need, but just one of three . 1, 6 , 11. There are times when there are a lot of WAPs locally, working with neighbours it is useful to select others so everyone can get some bandwidth rather than all fighting for the same carrier.

1, 6 and 11 are the only channels you should be using if you want to get three radios on 2.4GHz without overlaps. An awful lot of equipment doesn't let you pick anything other than these bands in the 2.4GHz spectrum.

Actually if you use 1, 5, 9 & 13 you may have some overlaps however the throughputs are only marginally reduced.
I was party to some work several years back where tests were done - something in the high 30s was achieved on all four simultaneously and on te WAPs in use they have those specifically allocated - they are not consumer grade devices either, and also not general business level either.
Here, with my neighbour also having restricted choices, the throughputs are less than they were when we could select any of the 13 channels.

Thank you, and you're welcome. 
The 3 supplied piece of kit, are:
~ 1x "Smart router" (with integrated "mesh" transceiver circuitry, so in effect, it IS a disc)
~ 1x "Smart WiFi Disc" (self-explanatory)
~ 1x "4GEE" 4G hotspot device + SIM, pre-loaded with 2GB, and which they will load with 250GB of data if your service ever goes down.

Yes, and they will supply up to an extra 2 discs @ £6.99 each (postage cost, apparently)

Thank you for uploading all that, do you know if you click on the 5gz network in settings you can set a difffent ssid? As got certain kit that works better in the 2ghz network then 5 current router I can set which one they connect to or is it one ssid and it connect to which is best going at time only???

Are you asking about the EE Smart Router or the EE Smart Hub?
On the Smart Hub 1 you can separate the. WiFi bands. On the Smart Router (Smart Hub 2) you can't.
