Vanquish?

I'd heard of this game before but brushed it off as another gears clone/something else entirely, but after watching this:

It sounds a lot more interesting and looks a damn ton more classy.

Its a game i mentioned in a previous COD thread and the maker of Resident evil 4 the best resi game on the gamecube by far.

Made by platinum games and published by Sega as its part of a 3 game deal they have with the publisher, Bayonetta was the first game.

I did pre/order the game but after hearing that the game can be finished in 4 hours with no multiplayer i cancelled.

Graphically its cool and the gameplay is intense and its my type of game,but £40 for 4 hours seems a some what shallow experience.

I've been looking at this as well, surely it can't be completed in 4 hours if you play it on hard? Maybe on easy or medium but that's the weak way out >: )

It is not a long game but quite challenging,why dont you download the demo of the game and see if its your sort of thing..

Its on the playstation and xbox network...

I wasn't thinking of a day one purchase for it tbh, need to sort some other stuff out and i have my friends copy of new vegas to pick up and play, although the talk of game breaking bugs doesn't sound nice.

Thanks for the heads up on the marketplace though t2d, i generally don't browse it much these days, but i did grab that free fable 2 the other day though ;D. (im not refering to the "episodes" stuff, its the full game)

Fallout New Vegas should drop through the letterbox on Thursday,Games getting solid reviews but like you pointed out Falcon lots of bugs and reports of the console versions crashing and wiping game saves and a lots of other things.

Think the free Fable 2 game was a error on Microsoft behalf

You think thats bad? the PC has the same plus performance is pot luck.

As for the fable 2 thing, it seems microsoft are letting people keep it, in which case im highly grateful i can finish game now since i borrowed it off a friend to start with .

That sounds like a good game - Free.

I haven't touched Fallout New Vegas.

No rush. Yet.

After playing the demo for a second time tonight i think i just might pick up this game as it is a great blast with some lovely graphical effects.

Did not really like the way it played on my first playtest but i think its a good game if not a little on the short side.

Really impressive to look at though unlike a lot of games this year.

Your reviews I trust to be a good guide on a games worthiness, although, we may not always agree. PC's will always rule, and, that *blinking games loading as I type.

Picked up the game today and i have to say its a quality product even though the reports are its really short.

Prefer it to be as good as this with some fantastic action scenes and superb graphical effects and short on playtime to something that just drags on and on and is pretty basic.

Funny how most of the FPS seem to follow the path started by Infinity Ward with there kill tally above there head after you kill them.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I picked this up today from a friend for a tenner so going to try it this evening, was it good time2die? How long did it take you to complete? Looking forward to trying it, never actually got round to the demo!

Its a Great game Jaxx and because of the amount of games i have collected over the past few months i have yet to complete it myself,not that i complete many games lately anyway.

Once you get past the controls and in your comfort zone then the game is a blast with some really nice action.

I really like it t2d, it's pretty much Ironman but he can't fly haha I love the booster moves and the slow motion and the general fast gameplay, but it's not something I can play all night just a couple of hours at a time, seems very short though like you say!

Yeah its that type of game and i think you can complete it in 5 hours axxording to reports.
