I bought the Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon complete pack - 5 games.
Also, Back To The Future - It's a bit 'obvious' for us older people people, but it's very funny, esp the old woman with the binoculars. I've seen the movies several times, and still love it.
It's a thoroughly enjoyable point and click game. Recommended!
There was more, but never mind - Steam January sale will be predictable -They can't beat last years.
MERRY CHRISTMAS FOLKS!

I got Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit - very good it is too
COD:Modern Warfare 2 - single player is good, multiplayer is rather iffy
I brought myself Shank (for £6.99) - on the final level, and the Humble Bundle 2 - Revenge of the Titans is good, Machinima is fairly okay - its very abstract, Osmosis is irritating. Braid is irritiating and impossible. Cortex Command is just too small to see what is going on.
Plus, I have retrieved my old games : Tasty Planet (much more fun than Osmosis), Dodge That Anvil, Laser Dolphin and Jets'N'Guns.
Finally, I also brought Bejeweled 3
And just completed Shank...

Excellent - Some indie games are fantastic fun. They make a change from the norm.
I bought Eets, a Poker Night At The Inventory, along with the Tom Clancy 5-pack. I've had one of the Clancy games seperately on disk before but never completed it. I will this time lol.
The sale's still on until the 2nd of January. Nice.

Bioshock 2 for me. Loved the first but never got round to the 2nd. Also got Hot Pursuit for Christmas but not played it much yet. Only one at a time for me or I lose track
Yeah Bioshock was good- It's a bit disturbing with the voices through it, along with some of the deranged characters, but it's fun. Good twist in Bioshock 1. I liked the different endings, depending what you've done.
I play 1 at a time too - it really IS the only way really.
When you get games cheaper, on Steam especially, you have-to buy as many as you can.
Last years Sale was the best, and the cheapest imho.
Added: Dark Siders and Dead Rising 2.
Purchased also Flight Control HD.
Looked through the Mega-Packs and the quite good Indie Collections. Some decent cheap/ish games if you can look around / can be bothered.
It CAN be worth it during the sale - Also try the Recommendations For You button.
HAPPY GAMING, FOLKS!
ADDED: Darksiders
Dead Rising 2
Kane and Lynch 2 - Dog Days
Kane and Lynch 2 DLC - Alliance Weapon Pack
Kane and Lynch 2 DLC - Doggie Bag
Kane and Lynch 2 DLC - Multiplayer Masks Pack
Kane and Lynch: Dead Men

Guest_Again, did you win the Lottery?
I've just taken the plunge and re-joined WoW, so not looking for new games really, but couldn't resist NFS:Hot Pursuit and Divinity II from the Steam Garage Sale. Div II d/loading now, NFS is a blast for me, as I really enjoyed Burnout, and the multiplayer is pretty good fun.

rejoined WoW!!!!!!! Don`t do it!! Been clean for a year but like nicotine I keep getting these pangs! I`m in self imposed exile, got the better of me! How i miss it
know what you mean about nicotine... it's been gnawing away at me for a year or two, and finally succumbed when I read a review that said Cataclysm made levelling a lot quicker But my old characters have gone, so I'm working my way up again through all the grinding.
I was always complete cr*p at it, though, so ultimately, it's just a monumental waste of time

How can you possibly play so many games Falcon and i have to seriously my friend question your Great Wisdom.
I thought i was addicted to buying games but you put me to shame and make my purchases over the last year look tedious to say the least.
You sure your pc is not stuck on Buy me Now or something

only had the one character lvl 80 Lock who had pretty decent gear but was waiting on raiding for decent gear upgrades and the guild I was in was nice and social but not much cope at raiding, hence loads of time wasted logged in doing fud all Wife eventually lost the plot so gave it up and got hooked on Xbox live

What made you ask bout the lotto for?

SALE WAS CREPE REALLY - PRICES SUCKED - NOTHING BLEW ME AWAY.
Good news for my friend - she upgraded to a nokia n8 - got angry birds. Happy.
'Spent a LOT of sheckles this year.'
Yes, evidently: hence the Lottery remark
I see.
Yes, there was a couple of sheckels upwards spent. It's going to take me a day or two to set them up to play.
ONE game that I played a tiny bit of is Bully - it looks fun, but you have to use wasd plus the mouse. The xbox controller can't be set up to replace the keys. I'm left handed and would prefer using the cursor keys first / and xbox controller after that.
I may look into sorting something out eventually. There are many others to play in the meantime. Tbth, I haven't been able to play many [or any] of the games lately because of that 'Christmas' and 'New Year' thingy.
It's over now - there are games to load and play... right after Wednesday, that's when BT OpenWound fits another phone line.

I got Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood on the Xbox 360, love it, completed the main story last night and got all but 3 of the offline achievements, going to play it online tonight and see what that's like but if it's as good as the main game I'll be very happy! Really like the "call the Brotherhood for assistance" feature in the game and the fact you can control the guild yourself.
Also got Harry Potter DH Kinect enabled, bit disappointed with the Kinect gameplay, it comes with 25 missions and most of them are 2 mins long if that so it's really easy to blast through it. There is also no way to make it more challenging, I got 5 stars first time on all but one of the missions so that's a bit poor, but hopefully the main game on hard will provide more of a challenge!

I bought:
Arma II - operation arrowhead
Colin Macrae Dirt 2
Star wars KOTOR (played a firends copy ages ago but it will be worth revisiting at some point!)
GTA IV Complete Edition (+ contains DLC packs)
Mafia II + all 5 DLC
Settlers VII
Supreme Commander 2
I missed the sale up until the 28th because I was back visiting my parents for Christmas. Which is bad becuase I missed out on some very nice deals but good because I might just have ennough money left to last until pay day now!

I thought that kinect would be a wii beater - just give it time, it might stIll. It's new.

Fresh install[s] tried / denied so left it.
Mafia II bought but still to try it.
The sale was 'ok' - It never beat last years prices. Pity.
You tried Nation Red yet? It's some serious shoot-em-up action.
It is a Wii beater by far, the technology is amazing and Kinect Adventures & Sports are both awesome, it's the Harry Potter game that lets it down not the technology. Like I say, you can blast through it in an hour or two, but it seems like the Kinect part was an after thought anyway. Looking forward to some games that have had a lot of time spent on them
Good to hear - Now if they can come out with an X-Pad for the floor that does what the Wii Pad does, we'd have a winner for sure.
Possibly, although not sure why you'd need one? Except for checking weight and stuff, but apart from that, I'm pretty sure the Kinect could handle everything else. Only thing it wouldn't detect is pressure, but can't see how that would be used anyway as if you did things like Yoga it would be more to do with the position of your body, and you'd like to think it could still work out calories burnt etc.
There is a Kinect fitness game out but doesn't appeal to me, the Sports is hardwork enough for a couch potato like me
No, I can admit that I may do a wee bit of yoghurt, but it's been a while?
Was askIng on behalf of my [super-fit] older sister, and mum. They were looking at the Wii-Fit board etc, and I thought that it may have been another option for them.
Thanks for the info Jaxx.
And ok. I was succumbing to a 7 Muller Yoghurts a week habIt.
Muller yoghurts bad even the low fat ones, full of sugar and nowt else!!! They taste good though!
I know, but it went from the Fruit Corners to something a little harder... the CRUNCH Corners.. waaah, and they were too good..
..Is ASDA open?
No probs! Haha, I have to admin I am addicted to Crunch Corners 12 for a fiver at Asda, usually pickup 24 a fortnight!

No probs! Haha, I have to admin I am addicted to Crunch Corners 12 for a fiver at Asda, usually pickup 24 a fortnight! So sad really. I LOVE those - Isn't it just 'convenient' of them only doing 6 packs - and SEVEN days in a week? Nah, I don't think so.
Who else votes for a SIX Muller Crunch Corners per DAY? Hmmm? And if not, have you ever tried them?!
Vote NOW.
I skipped on mafia 2, some friends bought it and what they said didnt sound good it sounded rather mediocre so i skipped it, i'll pick it up next time when the dlc is even cheaper or something.
Don't fancy the driving aspect of any game - I would, if I had a steering wheel / pedals ~> a real car in fact - the game itself looks ok to me.
Never loaded any dlc for that one, though I did for Killing Floor and a couple of others.
Fallout New Vegas. It's a good crack I just die alot
I bought a couple of games over holiday period mainly for my sons, however have ordered Mass Effect 2 from Game last weekend, just waiting on the post arriving seemed rude not to at a fiver brand new.
It's a good game, Grumps - I bought the two of them a while back, and thoroughly enjoyed playing them.
A fiver is well worth it.
Yea they are excellent games. #3 should be out this year I think...
Bought Blur for PS3, seems rude not at £9.99 and free delivery.
Seen it called 'Mario kart for adults' lol
Sky Broadband
Unlimited
Got the following for Xmas all for XBox 360:
Brutal Legend
Lego Rock Band
Dante's Inferno
Bioshock 2
Mass Effect 2
Be* Unlimited
How was it? As good as Mario?
Super Meat Boy.
Quite a few other games in the Steam sale but...
Super Meat Boy.
The only one worth mentioning. Classic.
Loved Mass Effect 2 top game.
I started playing that again last night after trying out my new Logitech headset imported from Logitech site in Holland.
http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/gaming/headsets/device...
Have a turtle beach pair for the xbox 360 which cost about £80 or £90 quid which are wireless and really good.
So if anyone wants them on the cheap let me know but they are not boxed in the original as they come in those packets that rip your hands to shreds trying to open, sort of a vacume packed thick tough as old boots packets which to be honest with you are a pain in the neck.
They may be good at retail for shelf space but boy what a problem they are to open especially for the older generation as these things seem to be everywhere in electrical items.
Took me ages to set theses logitech up to the wireless base station that it comes with, some of the connections for audio required the original xbox 360 and Playstation Av Leads which i dont use.
Must have 3 sets of both in the garage but do you think i could find them, then the other way was direct audio from the base station to the television or audio system i am using but there was no audio out on the Keff system only in.
Anyway have the consoles set up with HDMI leads and optical for tv sound and everything works as sweet as a nut now i have sourced the original leads for sound through the wireless headset.
What i like about them they work with both Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 with a flick of a switch on the headset and they sound awesome.
