Battlefield bad company 2 ranks deleted

Sometimes when I and my mates start playing our ranks have reset to 0
It stays like this for no certain length of time then all of a sudden they are back again.
Is this a new problem or has it been happening for a while???

Been happening since BC2 was released. Usually just EA Stats server failure and re-logging fixes it. Never had it to me, but only because when the servers go down for maintenance or any other reason I don't try to log back in straight away.

Yeah, the servers are overloaded or something, however its just the stats server pushing the stats to peoples clients, all exp and stuff you earn is being calculated server side still and still being registered, you just aren't getting them updated to your client.

If you buy the kit from the store then when you join a game and find your ranks are back at level one you still have the kit you paid for so things aren't too bad

Do you mean the specact kits? Mine seem to vanish with everything else. And tbh I prefer the default guns of each class to the specact ones!

The problem I find is that sometimes people who have been on a server for a while have all their perks whereas new joiners don't. It is a pain when you run into someone with magnum ammo on and you have a gun that now tickles them rather than does serious damage!

Do you think the magnum ammo makes much difference??

I think it makes a big difference. I have it on each and every kit I use and have done for a long time. Not even sure what the alternative options for that slot are any more! Think there is 1 for making the guns more accurate or something (?) but I don't have accuracy issues

I have played the specact guns to get a gold medal on them but I was nearly suicidal doing the m16 and m95. Only hardcore preserved my sanity. I honestly don't understand what the m95 does with the bullet after I press fire. I am quite handy with the GOL or m24 but the m95 is beyond terrible!
