For those that are still interested in the game and have not moved on..

i stopped playing mp after a week, so boring i will probably still buy the map pack for the 5 zombie maps though. these arcade style shooters get less and less interesting with each version, the only games i play on a regular basis are arma 2 atleast with that there is some variety in the mp and DCS:Black Shark/A-10C i probably spent as long in black shark just learning level flight as my total black ops playtime, great value for money the new one A-10C is ridiculously complex

Only one of the maps is for the Zombie mode unless you are talking about the previous 4 zombie maps and this 1 making 5.

1200msp? Don't think so!
Same as they usually charge but i agree there just another money spinner in Microsoft and Sony Eyes.
Lets be honest though how much do you and i actually think they are worth,i think 1200 points equates to something around £12.

Its nuts, apparently the prices are set by activision. £12 for 5 maps is just insane. 14 MP maps with blackops for £40 but just 5 maps (only 4 of which people will play, most people dont play zombies) for £12? How'd they work that out?
I guess they figure its the hardcore that will buy it regardless of if its 1200 or 800 points, its just in line with everything else on xbox live, overpriced and no competition.

You know what they say "A fool and his money......."
Trouble is it's more likely to be Mums money :/

To be honest i was one of the few people that kind of dished the dirt regarding Black Ops pretty soon after release, seems now i must be the only one that likes it after playing other modes such as Demolition which i never ever tried before.
Strictly Team Death and that was your lot but Domination,Demolition have made the game for me interesting and different.
I'm on monday night combat atm, great game, great laugh too. More worth 1200 points than blops dlc which is bound to be bugged imo (i got it on pc though so it was even cheaper).

Yea I play domination most the time, sometimes venture to demolition or search and destroy. Team deathmatch is pretty much just arcade mode and it's full of idiots, tend to get a bit of a better bunch playing the ones where you actually have to wait to respawn!
1200 MS points is just under £10 as well, it's 125 points per £1.

I have always struggled with the points thing with Microsoft trying to work out how much download content costs, think Microsoft were supposed to be changing it to Game equals this Much...........Little bit like Sony as you know what you are paying for.
Cheers for the pricing Jaxx and i dare say i will be one of those suckers who will not resist the map pack.

Alot of the games are priced in the market place in £'s. The thing that gets me is that its nearly always more expensive to buy through the marketplace than it is to, say, pick up a copy at tesco's. AND you don't even get a manual/case/dvd you can trade in/swap when you're done.
£15 for 2100 points if you look around.
so 1200 is £8.50 for me

For the big games very much the case, and no real excuse unless the costs of adding to the online store are more than creating physical media, the cut for the supermarket and other parties.
Console games stores should be cheaper than high street, but it is the same with CD and DVD's

Biggest laugh to date appeared on the Playstation store Last Friday and that Joke price was Mass Effect 2.......................Wait for it ? £47.00...
Yep Mass effect 2 a great game that has been out a year on the 360 and you can pick up a second hand copy for a tenner and yet the greedy sods at Sony are trying to get people to pay that sort of money for a downloaded title that has no trade in value whatsoever and is even about £10 more than the retail blu ray disk....
No thats taking the Micheal is it not..........
Who is best on highstreet for taking an old Wii, and a few PS3 games?
i.e. gives money or vouchers that last a year or so, i.e. thinking trade in some stuff I dont use and then can buy the odd xbox 360 game

ebay it, old wii's have much better ability to deal with "homebrewing", newer ones are trickier to do.

I personally trade everything at Game and buy most of my stuff there. You get loyality points with every purchase which you can use to reduce the cost of a new game. I got a flyer today offering trade in on Left 4 Dead (Other games listed) + 99p gets me 1200 MS points. I will take that as its a game I dont play and it takes the sting out of buying the new map pack.
By the way I am looking forward to the new maps. I always play HC Headquarters or S&D. A lot more realistic than core.

Falcons idea is more than likekly the best option as games about a year old fetch about £3 or £4 at the high street game chains such as Game,Gamestation and Blockbusters unless its a AAA title and you may get around £10 to £15 at tops.
Wii games dont fetch as much as Playstation or 360 games.........
Best thing to do is take them to Game, get a price, then go to Gamestation, they will beat it by £1 AND they will give you reward points for trading in the game which Game DON'T do! They just give you reward points for the game you buy with the trade in money, so essentially Gamestation give you double points.
Not sure if Game will take this idea on in the future, but at the moment I used Gamestation purely for that reason (before that I used Game like others have said)

Well at least the new maps are exactly that , new maps . Still think 1200 points is taking the Mick but not as much as MW2 map packs , that had old maps for new money .

But they are one and the same company.
And they wander why brick&mortar game stores are going down the pan, i.e lack of real competition.

Yeah i have played a few of them but it all depends on what lobby you join unless you keep coming out and starting over.

I haven't even played the multiplayer maps yet, I went on zombies at 6pm, had 2 games and it was just past midnight! Got to round 27 with my usual team of cronies but takes a good 2 and a half to 3 hours to do that! Will have a go on the multiplayer maps this evening
Have to say I LOVE the new zombie map, the black hole machine and the space monkeys are awesome, as well as the lunar landers you can use to fly around the map Also a couple of nice new perks as well, one of them is hilarious! Don't want to spoil it for anyone though
Round 27 is quite impressive Jaxx and i have only really played it on my own and got to round 8 at a push.
Not tried the new zombie map but everytime i play co/op with other people i seem to find the stupid crowd............You know the ones that keep swiping you with pistols or just mucking about ?
Yea I know what you mean, I play with my housemate and 2 friends from work so fortunately I don't get that problem! You should try looking online on something like xbox360achievements.org, you can go on the forums and find threads of people looking for games

Looking forward to the online Killzone 3 tomorrow and also looking forward to the games release along with Bulletstorm on the 25th Feb.
Crysis 2 of what i played i am not blown away to be honest, game looks quite good but im not convinced the online multi player is going to cut it.
Homefront start of March looks promising but i will wait until closer release date to get some more vids and information..............Seems quite tactical from what i have seen and heard...............That's me out then................Brain can not cope with Black Ops maps and shooting people and trying to disarm bombs in Demolition..........I mean that's 2 things to think of all at once..............

Whats on the horizon for you game wise Falcon...........Tempted to get Bulletstorm.
Skipping bulletstorm mostly likely.
Looking at deus ex 3, probably going to pick that up, i'll give DA2 a look but i don't have any saves from DA1 hoping the ultimate edition gets a 50% off sale on steam again for its launch though. Homefront will be worth a look at but i'm expecting a 360 bias job again as thats the way kaos work. Crysis 2 will be worth a look at but i don't think that'll be overly great.
ATM i'm quite happy with monday night combat and bc2.
Crysis 2 i will more than likely pick up because it Crysis and its a FPS,after playing the demo though i have to say i was not that impressed.
Expect mediocre
Bullet storm, wasn't impressed graphically, just another shooter.
Crysis2 nice graphics, seemed good but didn't excite.
For all their faults COD/BF series seem to keep me playing

Not from me it's not.
They've had it from me. No more groats from me for a while. Easy.

Same here my moneys staying in my pocket

DLM is content that should be included too - That is the same as all these "Special Map Packs".
Forget it. I'm 44 *cough* and now won't fall for that crepe any more.
Christmas 2010 was the last of falling for that pants. They have made their last extra buck from me. Nothing less than a COMPLETE[D] game bought here.
*Guesty swears on this.

The berlin map is a bit of campers dream, but others appear to be fun
Its always the way with new maps , campers can camp until i know where there going to be , then its noob or grenade and a easy kill .
not impressed that they did not have a new map lobby .
Zombie map is good as they have changed things up a bit but i don't know what it is but i feel nothing towards the new maps , no wow factor just the constant drub for XP .
Urm I found the new map lobby last night on xbox live, so not sure what you mean.

i will admit i was not hosting the party and went by what the party host said , so there blind and i should not take them at there word , because its most definitely there now .
which means i can learn where the campers like to camp allot faster .

Camper-Whacking. Nice.
Love to see them getting their just desserts - Repeatedly.
Frustrated 'experts' going down-hill, in even their own rose-tinted estimations, is the best.
I'm just pleased at completing Angry Birds - Just need to get three stars in ALL the levels now, and get the remaining Golden Eggs.
Love that game, and it's available for all OSes, and a lot of phones. Very addictive!
Completed it fully on my iPhone 3GS / 4 - My MacBook Pro is almost done, and my PC will get it next. Sweet.
What? you mean you missed the free angry birds on pc offer last week from currys?
Once bitten twice shy
I've had enough of the cod/moh series anyway.

Hey, LISTEN MATE, I've had the "Tweets" for some time now... and I remember asking in... on this very site if there was a 'similar' game to *"AB" for the MacBook Pro.
Aye, t'was in yon Apple forum in fact. Uh-huh. There was the 'free' version, but I needed more - Thought it would be fine, but then I did a search, and there it was - THE HOLIDAY PACK oh my goodness, I had to get it.. it needed completed, and I done it, eventually, but it was all on my iPhone 3GS. I then got the iPhone 4, and it needed completing again. Heaven.
Had to restart the iPhones once or twice - and I do insist on occasionally perusing the game. It then got released on the Mac... and the PC...
When will this madness ever end?!?
I love that game. Recommend it to all.

Hush your mouth, Gaming Review Guru, I need NOT hear of any more.
I *still hear the Tweating, Clarisse.

I don't think it's feasible to say you'll never buy any DLC! Yea with COD it's a rip off for what you get, but with other games, like Alan Wake, it was 400 points for an extra 4 - 5 hours of story, that's only like £3.50, definitely worth it, less than a pound an hour!
Angry Birds is also awesome, as is Cut the Rope it's as addicting!!
