One FPS i wont be getting..........

Never really enjoyed the Operation Flashpoint games and when i watched a few vids of the latest game in the series released in a few weeks i can see why.

Just not my kind of STYLE

Exactly why i wont be getting this game.every trailer i watch has me unimpressed ?

You know they are just flogging a dead cow.

They just don't realise that the original OPF fans have moved on and know not to buy the crude games that carry the title today.

That narrative was trying far too hard. Too many words and not enough substance in that trailer.

Not very familiar with OpFlash games, are they the boring ones that aren't run and gun?

Anyway, I didn't mind the look of this, graphically at least. There's too much narrative and not enough gameplay though.

Doesn't look like the game is going to be 'tight' enough, people will be lost playing it if the storyline objectives are so... um, boring?

Perhaps its like role play games where its press button 1 to load a round into a magazine, now button 2 to pick up another round, now repeat 180 times to load your six magazines

Just a console versiion of a realistic military shooter, best one is Armed Assult 2 for realism.

Yeah, with your gameplay vid I kind of like the look of it aswell. Just not sure it will be up to much though. Someone told me today that it won't have multiplayer which if true makes it a bit of a no no for me really. I need to get more than a campaign mode nowadays.

Have Codemasters actually ever made a decent Fps Before as i remember the last one being a load of Junk.

Think the next time any excitement hits these forums will be October regarding FPS and the Hyped to death Battlefields 3.

If it lives up to the vids and plays well then i will be in FPS heaven..........But and its a Big But i have lost count of the number of times i have seen what look like exceptional games only to be disappointed BIG TIME !!

BF3 is almost bound to be a mess at launch, at least on the multiplayer side. That said, it should be part way playable but will likely have a million bugs and gameplay issues to iron out before online play is optimised.

Yeah, Mrnelster, the game did look good in some aspects but we'd have to see a lot more of it to be sure there was even a little of redeeming quality. Don't think it's fair to write it off completely though I'm sure seasoned gamers like T2D know what they are talking about.

I've seen some gameplay vids of AA2 and a guy on this forum had a very nice setup for it but I tried the demo and got bored and frustrated within about 10 minutes during the tutorial. Haven't touched it since but would love to have been able to play something with a little more realism but without the need to pay attention to extremely minor details we all normally take for granted.
