How good was Portal 2?

I never played Portal, so I don't have a reference for an FPS style puzzler. But looking at the video reviews and the praise the online co-op has attracted, I am sorely tempted to grab it today. Especially as Outland isn't going to be available yet.

Forgetting the cross platform debate, does anybody have any serious criticism other than their own personal preferences? Though FPS is really the genre I play the most, I enjoyed the puzzle elements in Half Life many moons ago and although there is no fighting in this game, it does look like it doesn't get too frustrating.

Not as good as Portal (play that first).

I loved Portal 1 to bits and ate cake...Portal 2 is just as good as Portal one. Introduces new elements to the game such as the Blue. Orange and white gunk lol. Great puzzles to work out. Some real good ones too. Loved the Wheately voice. Justin lee Colins.....

A friend completed it in just over & hours!

Me 25 hours lol I think.

Played a couple of co op games which is fun.

Its good but its just not better than the original, theres fundamentally nothing wrong with it a side from it lack of replayability.

I wasn't that keep on Portal 1 - and probably wouldn't have brought it myself, even after trying the demo.

Ergo, I have no intention of buying myself...

What i have played its really good but i wanted to test the cross/platform element of the game but Sony certainly put paid to that.

Got the game on the Thursday before release and thanks to the network been taken down have not played it since,i could play the single player but to be honest i have not really been that interested in games the past fortnight with the nice weather.

Makes you laugh when just before release they were saying and hyping the playstation version as the best because of the online co/op cross platform.........If only they new what was around the corner and what must Gabe from Steam Now be thinking...
