Reports are surfacing through various media outlets that the long awaited return of the Sony Playstation network starts this morning Sunday at 1..00am...

Can't get past 42% on the update. Will try once more then leave it till tomorrow. Happy days tomorrow I hope!

As i said in a previous post the next thing that will happen is the server will crash because of the millions of people around the world trying to download the firmware update and then change there passwords.

Have you managed to update yet?

When i have showered i am going to take a look at the playstation to see what happens.

Well i downloaded the update but apart from that the service still seems dead.

The same here i saw the update and got all hopeful then nothing was very disappointed lol.

I just downloaded the update then it went back to saying under going maintenance

I dont see any change and its still dead..............

Ummmmh....it just told me to reset my password via a PC with a message it has sent to my registered email address. But it is taking a while to arrive. My mate is on so maybe they are inundated at the moment.

My mate in north Wales is playing black ops online and he changed his password on the console.
Because I'm on a new console it is asking me to use an email it has sent, but it still hasn't arrived.

Weird.

Just as i thought and expected Sony give explanation as to why the Network has gone down AGAIN

Expect it to be up and down a lot for the next few months, if theres any titles coming up which you are hoping to dig into the online a lot of then grab the 360 version or hold on to your seats because theres going to be a lot of turbulance.

Yea played some BFBC2 online last night

Yeah its up and i have just done the obvious and changed a few passwords and stuff,Hoping the playstation store comes online tomorrow and looking forward to LA Noir later in the week...............First review has just come in and it score the game 9.5/10 which is what i would like all round personally as it gives you a little confidence when buying a product..............Unlike Brink ..........Horiible game [Nuff said]

Tried adding mrnelster as a friends request on the Playstation network and it comes coming back as Unknown...........

That answered the question then matey shall do it later when i login and play some of the very good Socom..............Did not think that much of it at first but i am really loving this game now along with the older Ghost recon 2.

I thought that Sony might've done something about that by now.

Looks like they still shouldn't be trusted.
