The wave after wave idea is interesting, I like those levels in single player, where you have a real stand up fight on your hands.
Shame similar launch dates, would happily buy one for 3 or 4 months play, then buy say BF3, but both so close to each other not so sure.

Cant wait until November. I have played BO since release and virtually nothing else. Only last week I stuck MW2 in the xbox and lasted two games before screaming at the tv. I had forgotten how much the noob tube was used in MW2 whereas in BO its few and far between.
The spec mode does look good tho
I just hope MW3 isn't a tubing fest in every game

Why change a winning formula that many millions of MW fans adore,apart from the hacking [psn] and the stupid perks and kill streaks that are over powered i'm all for a new skin or whatever anyone wants to call it.
Really i don't see what you can actually change from a war orientated FPS only in MW case a new engine that not 5 years old,saying that if it fun,fast and frantic and brings in a few new ideas then i am happy.

Tell me honestly Swanny that you will not be buying MW3 because knowing how much you like FPS but know you love your Battlefield more i doubt very much that you will leave MW3 on the shelf..................I prefer MW to Battlefields but i will be buying both games as they both offer different elements to there style and game play.

Why? It's much easier to play on a console, for someone like myself that lives with a couple of lads we all put our TV's in the living room whack the Xbox's on and game away. I don't have to spend money on graphics cards regularly, if the Xbox does die it's only about £100 - 130 to replace it. I have a perfectly good PC in my bedroom but prefer to sit in the lounge with friends, PC gaming always seems like a more laborious options, I used to play on it all the time but once I got a console I just don't see the point anymore.
The one thing that annoys me is the people who say "give me a keyboard and mouse and I'll thrash you" or that somehow gaming on a PC makes you more elite than gaming on a console. I've always been good at games no matter what platform I play them on, but I don't try to belittle other people by mocking their choice of system because I don't need to.....and I'm not 14 Maybe I'm just not geeky enough for all the "tech elitism" I play the game because it's fun and it works well on what I play it on, I would happily play it on the PC but I choose to play it on the Xbox for comfort and ease.

Many years ago i was just a PC gamer but now as Jaxx pointed out a console is a far more pleasurable and easier experience than been a few feet from some monitor.
I had no problems and issues with going from PC to consoles and in my opinion i find it a lot more enjoyable,only negative thing about consoles is that we are fixed to that particular generation and obviously the PC games equivalent are graphically better.
If you prefer PC for gaming then all fine and Dandy but there are many millions that prefer consoles for there gaming fix and i'm with Jaxx on this one.
If i was to see a really massive difference in graphical performance i would consider PC gaming once again but i don't see it.

Those articles are both 'LOL', written by journalists come new gamers.
The reasons to skip MW3 are so bad you might as well use them to skip all games.
The reasons given to buy the game purely on Spec Ops are so shallow and the journalist makes no comparison to games that have done fps wave survival (vietcong had it, and that sank even though it was bad).
However, lack of SDK and lan servers are putting me off BF3.

You need to learn to adapt then my friend Pick up the controller and give it a go, I can comfortably play on both, I used to love MOH & Wolfenstein on the PC but natural progression is to move to a console. There isn't anything different, you can't do more on the PC because you can turn your controller up on the xbox to ridiculous high sensitivty, it's just a case of using your thumbs instead of your index finger and whole hand.

Sad (or rather happy) fact is PC players will generally trash console players regardless
A generation raised on auto aim varying for the slight snap to torso or a ridiculous snap to neck (i.e cod) vs generations raised on precise pin point aiming. Theres no comparison, especially when theres a whole sect of PC gaming which is striving to be the most hardcore ever and im not talking about a silly game mode type, its something console FPS's could never reach.

Horses for courses Mr Falcon so if you want to play PC for your games or Consoles you have the option to do either,I have had a better experience playing games on consoles than many years on a PC.
Only time i would consider it better on PC was when we had our own servers running a COD UO mod many years ago.
I really don't understand why hardened PC gamers have issues with consoles because we all know developers have fled in there droves and PC gaming is no longer the force it used to be and there is far more money to be had in the Console market...............
You can say that a keyboard and Mouse PC gamer will always beat a console player with pad,but we are all on a level playing field and we are not playing PC gamers just others with pads............
Believe me i have seen and played against incredible players that use just basic PlayStation or xbox controllers and i tell you now many of these would give a decent PC player a game.

Please don't like to a vid of a guy standing just below a stair who happens to hit 3 guys in row when he jumps and quick scopes, I've seen plenty of those vids and it's not skill. Neither is the guy lobbing a knife over the wall for it to bounce off a few things and hit someone on the head. Both are examples of LUCK, but kids these days think shooting through smoke and blind firing through a flashbang are hacks.

I'd beg to differ, console gaming is lazy, it encourages lazy game design, lazy story telling, lazy game mechanics and most of all lazy tactics/skill. Why? because the people playing them want to kick back and just cruise though, no effort. Hence camping and spray and praying, its lazy.
Its no doubt there is more money to be had in the console market, however ONLY if you follow the mainstream, anything which is out of the ordinary then its "fail" town for it, which isn't a good thing at all. There are plenty of games released on consoles chasing the money train being new and experimental, noone touches it and the gambit the developers put up collapses and so do they. All or nothing.
Meanwhile on the PC indie developers flock and can try for a cheaper price, delivering quality games that would never succeed on consoles, more so they succeed on PC's and Macs alike thanks to services like desura and steam.
Im not one for ultra competitive gaming, however PC users generally do crush console users, look at the microsoft/shadow run thing and why microsoft pulled GFWL cross platform, console players got smashed to bits. Even when PC users grab controllers they'll probably still pull higher than a console player whos spent quite a bit of time at it assuming theyre decent with a PC. Why? simple because they know how to aim better amongst other things.
On consoles its all about auto aim, want to quick scope? thats autoaim and luck, no skill. The fact proper sniping is frowned upon in console CoD and such amazed me when i first heard of the terms "drag scoper/hardscoper/etc", i was truly amazed at how low people have sunk.You can put a PC player vs a very good console gamer and they'd break close, put the console player vs a PC player on the PC and nothing but mush will remain, no auto aim to fall back on.

Couldn't agree more. The quality of cross platform games is incredibly low now, when the first FPS games started going cross platform, you were still getting great quality and fairly in-depth, good stories and play hours. Now you're lucky if an FPS lasts 5 hours in SP.
The upgrade cost doesn't hold now either, the amount you can save on games easily offsets the cost of upgrading to hardware adequate for running the latest releases.
About the only reason devs have moved to consoles is for an easy life with more money for less work producing sub standard games.
It's fairly limiting, but the next few games I'm going to buy will probably be PC only, RO2, BF3 (possibly) etc. Hopefully console devs will just stop developing for the PC soon and some good indies will fill the gap, the sooner the better.
I can totally understand why people use them, but my 360 hasn't been turned on for months, it's clunky and just horrible to use.

I don't like the quick scoping and auto aim but at the end of the day its about fun and certain games on consoles can provide that in there plenty.
No Platform has more hackers and cheaters than a PC so that argument don't stand up unless you yourself are in control and running those servers.

If "come get some" isn't peoples' bag then BF3 will probably be the better game. I will buy both, but MW3 will get the lions share of my attention due to my lifestyle and the time I get to put into games.
And I also don't think BF3 will be any better than MW3 graphically for the PS3, so that won't be a clincher for me either.

Why would consoles have aimbotters when you have every game with aim assist? Semantics.
Whilst "aimbotters" might not be so prevalent on consoles there still are tons of other exploits about, getting out of map, stat padding, etc. Its still just as bad.
