Do you actually think this on live will actually take of in this country,i mean its not exactly doing the business in the US now is it.

I dont think it will.
UK net is far slower than US, average speed in the UK is what? 4-6mb? With really bad usage limits in some cases.

Not a chance, too early in the UK, most connections here are snail speed at best.
It's like the Cloud, great idea in principal (well kinda...) but we just don't have the infrastructure in place for it to become common place.

US net is good where its fibre/DOCSIS 3 services are available, but still pretty normal to find 3Meg cable services as the only option, or just one DSL provider with no retailer options.
What I've found is US people tend to just get on and use their connections, in UK we like to moan first.

I thought it was exclusive with BT for present which should take usage limits out of the question for the BT products which supply the Onlive service? I agree that when it is offered more widely than usage becomes an issue.
Speed is also a bit scary. 5mg absolute minimum needed for HD feeds I think although SD comes in at a more reasonable 1.5 - 3 meg.
I'm interested in those PC exclusives that I can't get on my 360. Would be happy to pay for the one or two of those I want to play rather than shell out for a new PC! i would love MMO to come to onlive.

I know their datacenters are apparently ran by BT in the UK, im not sure if its a BT exclusive service, if it is then it is ultimately doomed since BT provide some of the worst speeds and service.

They say BT are their preferred partner on their webpage but I was sure I read exclusive partner - that may have changed. Not sure.
(P.S. OT but I'm with BT and their speeds are great!)
