Game rankings!
Had a look and basically 'corridor shooter' about sums it up for me. Surprisingly narrow free area to roam in (practically non existent).

Yeah im leaving this on the shelf as its such a crowded market and to many others i want during the next few weeks.
Shame really because the game is getting quality scores across the board with lots of 8/10 and many 9/10 apart from edge magazine that gave it a 7/10 which by there standards must mean its awesome
Bad move releasing potential top games all at the same time and its about time publishers and developers took a closer look at what there games are up against.
Releasing this Mid December is the way to go really because once November is out the way we normally get another 2 month gaming drought before they start again Feb 2012.

Me too. SPOOK put me off the other day by likening it to Borderlands. I never fancied that either to be honest.

Nah, the trailer put me off. Too much stuff happening besides the main point of a shooter: shooting people!
Liked the idea - performing bank jobs and other heists would be a cool setting. This game didn't look right to me but it's interesting all the same, so I shall have another look. It's on Steam and was reduced the other day.
Nothing *too far* wrong with Borderlands btw. It's just the whole genre is getting a bit too stale for my liking and I'm feeling a bit fed up with it. I've still got Fallout: New Vegas (from the Steam sale) to play!

Interesting how, on Metacritic, the reviewers scores are totally different from the users review... It looks like "professional" reviewers don't spend enough time playing a particular game in order to come to the same conclusions as the users...

Tried the MP. Really not sure what they were thinking there.
The co-op however is top drawer with some fantastic visuals. Ok, there are a few rough edges but the overall detail is excellent. Great looking for a console. And it's shooting, not driving!!
Though the most enjoyable bit is the enemy AI. Some of the blighters make themselves damned hard to shoot. Shame there's only 9 levels.

Yeah shooting but driving cars..............Sorry this is ID software here then people that put FPS on the map and they give us a online game of rage that involves cars.

I'm not I'm afraid.
I have never enjoyed third person when shooting is involved. I loved watching my mate playing UC2 but I never would have bought it. I will buy saints the third though because I don't take the gameplay seriously.
I've still got Shadow to start. Saving that for the Xmas break aswell.

You got to get Uncharted 3 mate it's going to be one of the best adventure games of the year with drop dead gorgeous visuals.

It's not really my bag though. I tried the MP demo for a couple of nights and really found it a bit tedious, so I wouldn't get any use out of it after completing the campaign.
Anyways, with ICO, Rage, BF3 and MW3 (and probably Saints 3rd) I doubt I'll be buying anything else for a while. Not until Aliens in the spring, lol!

Saints row the third will be on my Christmas list along with Uncharted 3 and i think SRT will be a blast and one hell of a lot of fun.
Im also not that interested in the multiplayer of Uncharted and i agree its not that exciting,well not what i have played online so far.

I have noticed that on a lot of games on there. Metacritic is very hit and miss anyway I think and I don't tend to use it too often, I much prefer player reviews than "official" or critic reviews anyday.

Metacritic is a quick way of getting those reviews from those particular gaming sites you mention in one link without having to go through the sites individually .
There are both official and player reviews on there and i think its a half decent site for any basic gaming knowledge or review.
