They are right in that you should give the BF games more of a chance. I used to be a COD fanboy and loved it but have moved on to looking for more than just a run gun die rinse and repeat experience in a game. BF is so much more than that, as you know it's a team based game where you really accomplish some thing from working together. Try it some time.
MW is just a lone gunner spawn fest type of game where each player is only concerned with being at the top of the leader board.
T2D we all know that if MW3 is rubbish you will keep playing just hoping that you can find a reason to enjoy it

This is just a Beta of one map in rush mode of BF3. Hardly enough to make a real conclusion of it.
I'm not impressed with what I've seen so far but I am going to give the full game a chance.

Does anyone else get red flashing on screen, it would seem that the games needs a bit of work, defo trying it on console, all I read on the PC chat boxes is so and so is a cheating Mofo etc etc. Nothing has changed since way back in my early COD days on the PC

The red flashing is from their laser sights not your PC

Nah it's an ingame bug, happens when you level your view then adjust it slightly up and down as you look towards a certain direction.

I agree with you Swanny and Spook and it may be wiser for me to invest in the game and play it until MW3 comes out about 10 days later and then i can make more of informed decision.

But i have played them in the past and i am well suited to the run and gun style you suggest that is Cod games and thats probably the number one reason why i prefer them

I find them a lot easier to get into and to be perfectly honest i am not that team player oriented and the style that Cod games give me suits me.

Cod i would say is very much easy and simple to play and has sort of a arcade style to it which obviously appeals to more than just me as it would not be the multi million pound franchise that it is.

I will obviously pick up Battlefield but it will be on the Playstation 3 opposed to the 360 since this is suppose to be the next best thing to the PC but miles away.

Even if i don't get into the Multiplayer then i am sure the single player will be worth it alone,but guys i will try and have the patience and persevere a little bit more with the online mode to see if i do indeed change my views and opinions.

Personally i don't think it will ever take preference to MW but you never know

And this is interesting News for console owners buying the game.

That sounds awesome, EA say it will be the best graphically over MW3 and I believe them, the beta looks nice so can't wait to see what the end product looks like.

I spent about 10 hours playing the game, cant say I liked the metro map much, but I did like caspian borders.

I only have an HD5750 graphics card, but it seemed fine running on high settings for me.

the only thing that annoyed me was every once in a while, if I was driving a tank and went over some kind of bump/rock while offroad, the tank would flip and start spinning wildly, I am hoping they will fix that before the game is released.

I noticed that when driving jeep, if you hit a bump/rock, you would get thrown from the vehicle.
