Battlefield 3: DICE banned this week a �significant number of BF3 cheaters�



Cheaters. We�ve played against them, we hate them. These people are the main reason we�ve stopped playing BF3 and thankfully, DICE has already started taking care of them. We knew that the company has been banning some of them and we are happy to report that this week, DICE has banned a significant number of BF3 cheaters. This is reasurring � to say the least � and we hope that the company will keep it up. After all, Battlefield 3 was full of cheaters these past weeks.

Not played BF3 since Skyrim came out. Ha. Yeah, that's how much I must love playing Skyrim. But can you tell me what kind of cheats were people getting up to? Just exploits or hacking game code? Like wall hacking etc?

Another PR event, just like last month. Why don't they fix the game instead? I report 5+ mass murder hackers a week and they are all still playing.

No idea why anyone would use that or any other hack. Where's the skill or sense of achievement??
I guess/hope the mass murder hack isn't on the ps3??

I note there are no stats for SGT_Drusan from the first video. Does this mean he's had his account banned?

You have to be a bit of a c**t to want to play like that in a game and ruin everyone elses experience. Probably someone with a huge chip on their shoulder and a hatred for humanity and whose sole friends are like minded, cheating, real world friendless, tw@ts too.

Reminds me of all the car-tillery in BF2. The only objective can be destroying the game for everyone else and for that, account banning should be seen as a minimum punishment. Perhaps some of these sad little fuggers should be locked up for a while? Might do them some good.

You're needed back in Free Chat. It's in desperate need of an IQ injection lately.

They do seem a little slow catching up to some people. They should get auto flagged up from their stats and then auto suspended at a certain level. Certain game modes can inflate certain stats (TDM players will generally have a higher SPM etc) but there is a point where accuracy or SPM or something gets well outside the realms of possibility for a player.

If you look at the leader boards it's easy to spot the biggest cheats, the players on top should be banned at least once a month

Lucky for you they don't concentrate on the bottom of the scoreboard and wonder if these people have ever played a FPS in there life before.

Just got killed 9 times in a row by the same chap. I hate shotguns

Doesn't really fit into this thread but it is BF3 so I am posting it anyway! Last night I had 2 moments where I did some really awesome things. Wish I had been recording it.

Firstly I was defending on Caspian Border (Rush) and had managed to snag me a big ass T90 tank. So I go to my usual campy spot and start shooting at things - a team mate had a SOFLAM up so I could target things further away. First guided shell takes out a tank with 3 people in (which was nice!). Another guided shell takes out a tank with 2 in and then yet another takes out a 3rd tank with 2 in (someone was very nicely damaging these tanks for me:D). In amongst that I had already disabled the huey with another guided shell but then another huey appears. The SOFLAM marks it up and I start locking on. When I fire it is about 70 metres away I guess and 20m off the ground heading left to right. As soon as I fired I switched to main cannon, adjusted aim up and to the right and fired. The guided missile hit and disabled it and almost instantly the cannon shell hit as well destroying it and killing 5 It was beautiful. Finished the round 15-1 having got my tank destroyed right at the end.

Secondly, Seine crossing on conquest. My team is... not very good. We have A and B but getting anything else has proved hard work. I tried going from B to C as engi but ran into a whole load of people on the main road (largely hiding behind the white van and doorways by the buildings) and hid behind an advertising board cowering like a big girl. I did try RPGing the enemy directly but it was a long way so only a bit of splash damage. Cue approach 2. I duck out of cover and aim at floor 2 of the building just by the van. As I go back to cover and reload there is a satisfying spam on my screen as the falling building takes out 6 (reasonably sure it was 6 but it is hard to see when so many die at once!). Having reloaded I fire at floor 3 and take out another 2. Then I go for floor 4 and take out a further 3. So 11 dead from 3 rockets in the space of about 15 seconds

It was fun. And I needed to share that with you all even if you don't care

As long as your having fun with the game matey thats all that counts.

Collapsing buildings is something I hope the new generation of consoles gets on many shooters.

I've lost track of the amount of console releases that promised destructible environments, then arrive with only the ability to do bullet damage to masonry etc.
