Maxi P

[link to this post]

Indeed when married with the games robust character animations and physics, and with the primacy of sublime gunplay, Max Payne appears positioned to come together as an interactive movie, one with finely tuned presentation and welcome, substantial gameplay. Should Rockstar manage the feat, its reputation may not come through merely intact, but perhaps even enhanced.

They already had me when they said Rockstar games. Can't think of anyone who could do it better, except perhaps Naughty Dog.

Loved Read Dead.

Maxi P? I thought maybe he'd had a sex change or something then! Or turned into a pepsi perhaps...

Yeah, hopefully Rockstar will give it the treatment old Maxi baby deserves. One thing's for sure, it's going to be a different kind of game story wise! But MP was all about the amazing guns too so hopefully it'll be dual ingram time again soon. tongue

Actually, it's looking pretty good!

Rockstar Videos

On a separate note, it's strange how the video just has a may not be suitable for children warning then cuts to the first ultra violent scene. I guess we are extremely desensitised to violence these days, we'd even allow under 5s access to our warped little world.

Hey, word to da mutha. Or bruvva even... er, ahem.

My link has Appleitis? Sorry about that? Dunno what went wrong as it works ok for me.

This is the unformatted link:

First video is pretty good. I don't think I've ever seen a video game character change his personal grooming so often before. Beard and no hair, hair and no beard, beard and hair, etc. So many styles to choose from! tongue

Looking forward to Max Payne 3 because lets face it Rockstar don't normally release trash, will be picking up Prototype 2 just before as i love a bit of mindless carnage .

just hope they improve the graphics engine as it was not the best looking game by far, sort of a Saints Row the 3rd but with better graphics but that aint saying much because boy was S Row one huge let down.

Another that promised to much and what a bore that game was..............

Lol. 6 posts! I was excited then for a bit then realised they all said the same thing. Reckon the post button must've stuck as I couldn't load the site properly for a bit so guess tbb had network trouble maybe? Thought it was just me to be honest!

Max Payne the third should be good. I like how (the video I linked to) shows they're keeping faithful to the game character and haven't abandoned the graphic novel approach in the story telling department.

The location might be odd and Max might look a bit weird with a beard (more like Captain Haddock from TinTin) but it still sounds like him at least (unless my ears deceive me).

Looking forward to some more Payne. laugh

Thank God For Reviews That come out Early

[re: deleted] [link to this post]

This is why its important that publishers do not put review restrictions on upcoming games as it saves the likes of me a little money.

This Ninja Gaiden 3 was a cert for me this coming Friday,However when you read IGN.COM REVIEW it becomes obvious that this is a money saver and as much as i loved the previous editions its time to take a back seat with this new game based on this review alone.

I said that the new Resident evil game that also comes out Friday looked a little trashy to me,but its amazing how good they can make a certain game look depending on the trailers you watch and especially cut scenes like THIS

May be if the actual game played out a little like the cut scene it would be worth considering, but when i watched some gameplay nothing seems further from the truth.

Saying that based on the Yakuza dead souls games then this would have probably been the better choice, clutching at straws at present because its not until April/May that the game market gets a little interesting.

Awful (out of 10). Ninja Gaiden 3 looks like a good bet then (for the bargain bin at least). Hope Game don't stock that one then, else it'll definitely be the end for them!

I remember playing the first Res Evil games on my Playstation (one). The cutscene was way better for the 1998 version that this one, some 14 years later.

It was a long time I played a Resi Evil game but I enjoyed the first couple, though I remember they were kind of puzzle solving role playing games with limited ammo and stuff no? If I didn't know better, it looks like the publishers are trying to compete with FPS, which was never going to be where REs strengths lie.

Well, I've got lots of games I haven't played waiting for me on Steam so I reckon I should dust them off and give 'em a go. Trouble is I really need to sort out some kind of desk as it's a bit tricky resting a keyboard and mouse on my lap/armrest. wink

Exactly why i don't bother with PC gaming as you have just said that you need some sort of Desk and my theory is thats where most PC gamers play .

There is no getting away from it that most PC gamers are in some back room or office playing there games, and lets face it there are not many wives/girlfriends going to be to happy with a load of PC equipment staked around the television area now are they.

Im actually in a office writing this and if i was into PC gaming thats were i would be confined........Rest assured wink

Yeah Spook the first Resident evil on the Playstation 1 was a great game apart from the limited ammo and clunky movement and i remember it well...............Hang on Spook just said he had a Playstation 1 so there is hope after all .

Rest assured Spook if i won the lottery i would be asking for your address and sending you a box full of gaming devices...........Might even send you duke nuke em forever and Yakuza Dead Souls so you can see what your missing out on..............NOTHING...........tongue

Ha. If you ever win the big one I doubt we'll be hearing about it on here! It'd just be quiet for ever more. T2D would be on a beach somewhere playing his Xbox on a giant screen and sipping pina coladas.

I can just picture it. White legs, shades and a Hawaiian shirt...

Actually mate i would rather be in a log cabin in the Swiss alps in a Alpine forest,Snow Mobiles outside and a roaring fire inside............Im actually very reclusive matey and i don't like very hot weather at the best of times.

Last year her in doors dragged me of to Dubai for 10 nights..........Would Much preferred a 24 hour trip.........Was it hot or what ,why she soaked up the sun all day i was bored to death and took to the beach bars at about 10am in the morning as there was little else to do.............£9 a pint and a lighter wallet later we would visit some of Dubai amazing shopping malls that make some of our best ones look like flee markets.......

Nice experience but not what I'm that interested in to be honest.........Going to sorento end of April for someones wedding and in-between she is trying so hard to get me out to Cape verde.......Much prefer a sking holiday if im honest.tongue

Actually i much prefer to be playing a really brilliant game.wink

A downloaded the demo of that and deleted it 5 minutes later, sports games do nothing for me and i have never bought or owned a Fifa Game or any other sports title in my life.

I have absolute no interest in anything Sport related regarding games,my love is quality FPS and basically games that involve a lot of shooting.

Like decent puzzle games and games that try and do things different and interesting like Journey and Flower and a fair few others.

Would love to go skiing one day. Mind you, I'd have to reinforce my knees and things. I've heard a lot of people get injured if they're out of shape like me.

I don't care for Dubai either, especially at £9 a pint. Crikey!

Sorrento sounds good though. Had a google and it looks beautiful. Maybe you can hire an open top car and go touring or something? Or take a bike or 2 with you?
