Since there is little in the way of posts on the Gaming forum once again i thought i would see who is buying this a week today, who is sitting on the fence [waiting for my review] and who has not interest whatsoever ?
I know i have mentioned the game a few times but thats not difficult when there is nothing really of interest to talk about the last 5 months.
Im Truly pumped up for this game and i really think its going to be a really cool game based on the first game alone, nothing like Mass Destruction and doing silly things in a game world.
Just cause 2 was a blast and its time for some more mindless destruction with the follow up to the original released 3 years ago
The more videos i watch the more i know im going to have one hell of a time.

If its good you will be buying it,if i rave about it I'm convinced you will consider this option.
Anyway of topic and not really anything to do with gaming but i bet some developer will try and cash in is the new Ridley Scott prequel for the Alien film called Prometheus.
Just watched this on the Sky 35mm program and its been released in 6 weeks and i knew nothing about it
Been 32 years since old ridley did the original Alien and still to this day it's a class act and its the first time in 32 years he has returned to the sci/fi film which by all accounts has to be one of the best.
Anyway here is the clip for the New Upcoming Alien Prequel PROMETHEUS

Yea I am going to pick up Prototype, I really enjoyed number 1 although it did get a bit boring towards the end as it was a bit same old so hoping the new one is a bit innovative, it certainly looks like good fun will let you know what I think after release!!

Sounds like a great game.
Trouble is for me, Max P has two player co-op, Ghost has 4 player co-op, I'm still hoping to play UC3 co-operatively and Prototype 2 has no co-op at all.
Single player wise, I want to play both UC1 and UC2, Batman Atkham City, never finished Bf3 campaign mode nor Rage, have only just finished ICO yesterday and the kids want me to play Shadow of the Colussus next.
I need a time management strategy.
My six year old daughter found ICO enchanting, watched me play the whole game whilst shouting instructions and now insists SoC is next. Now all I need to do is persuade the missus that watching me game is good wholesome family entertainment and I might genuinely make in-roads into that desired play schedule.

You seem to like co/op games so do you have a mate that you play with or something, never really bothered me regarding co/op apart from the Horde mode in Gears which i love immensely.
Got a wedding next Thursday in Sorrento Italy so wont be round for about 5 days or so,prototype is released this Tuesday so i might just stare at it and play it on my return if i can resist the temptation of opening it which i doubt very much.
If you like open world sand box games with a lot of mindless destruction then i think you should check it out matey

You seem to like co/op games so do you have a mate that you play with or something, never really bothered me regarding co/op..... Only because I got fed up with playing at a huge disadvantage all the time. I can play a friend of mine on LAN and make him look like the clown player he really is. If I play him online he is virtually invincible. That's not sport to me and being fiercely competitive it winds me up something chronic. So I just decided not to even try to compete anymore.
No more clowns, no more stress. Simples.

Yeah i love that track also might download it now you mention what name it is,just of to pick up my copy of prototype 2.

Well i picked it up today and firstly i have to say it has one of the nicest intro to a game i have seen in a long time but as soon as the game starts you could be playing the 3 year old first game here as the graphics are not what Radical led us to believe they would be.
This does not look like a new updated engine and the graphics are good but not that impressive, put it this way it wont be winning any game of the year award in this department or any other for that matter.
The games a blast lets not forget this and its my type of game, its one of those when you can play it for 30 minutes switch of and do something else.
What has changed is the new mapping system when trying to track certain people that need consuming, this in my opinion is the most confusing thing in this game and i dont know if its me been plane stupid or the fact i just dont get how this works.
When you click the left xbox 360 controller stick you send out a pulse, like sonar or radar and this is suppose to lead you to your target.
I have spent the best part of 3 hours trying to figure out this and wandering around for ages,on 2 occasions i have found what i am looking for but i personally think it was just luck as this method of finding people for me anyway is totally confusing.
It got so bad tonight i even done a search in Google to find out exactly how this pulse is suppose to work as I'm totally in the dark.
On one mission it was kind of pointing me out to a destroyed bridge at sea [well i think it was] but i do not have the flight power to get to the broken bridge if this was the correct way in the first place.
Once i have sussed out this stupid pulse for finding people i am sure i will have a blast but if i played it today for 4 hours then 3 have been total frustration trying to find my so called target.
Dont think i will be actually playing this much once Max and Ghost arrive lets put it that way, overhall good game, not brilliant graphically but confusing with the map function

Well, can't help you with the human consumption finder thing but I wondered if you would agree with this review's summary:
Pros
- Agressive superpowered combat
- Good selection of destructive powers
- Makes you feel like a badass
Cons
- Missions lack variety
- Uninspired characters and story
- Game world not totally convincing
It's basically the impression I got from watching trailers, that despite the glamour, things would quickly get repetitive and a bit boring. That's why the game doesn't really do it for me as much as I wanted to like it.

Finally Spook i have sorted out the tracking system after countless hours of frustration.they could have made it far easier but now i am enjoying the game.
Agree with most cons except the last one as the game world is a vast open space and looks pretty realistic to me.
Its Prototype and the missions are very much the same thing over and over but the games a lot of fun which i enjoy.
Biggest gripe for me apart from the initial stupid tracking device [pulse thing] would be the graphics, game in all truth looks no better than the first 3 years ago.
Anyway of to Italy i go so catch you guys next week when i dare say i will come back and see about 1 post from either Spook or Mrnelster.
Blockbusters are doing some good deals on games and Max Payne 3 is cheaper than that of shopto.net just like there prototype was £5 cheaper.

Yea SPOOK that pretty much sums up Prototype 1 lol. But like T2D says it's strangely addictive even though the missions are repetitive. I guess it's just the flying and scaling up walls that I enjoy and then the mindless destruction. Still going to pick a copy up over the weekend and see how it is!!

Yeah, this is what I thought (mindless fun bit) and I really enjoyed Just Cause 2 for all that but I wasn't sure about the character so much.

Well, see ya when you get back from Italy (you lucky sod).
Arrivederci!

Those Italian nights can get a bit chilly for a man of his age To wear such a garment in Rome would likely result in summary execution. Let's hope Sorrento is a little more tolerant.
Just a good beating perhaps?

Only a 4 day trip to the next door neighbours wedding swanny, came back Monday evening and from Gatwick then had to drive to heathrow airport this morning so the girlfriend can fly of to San Francisco on a business trip with horrendous driving conditions on the M4 this morning.
Now I'm back i can concentrate on Prototype 2 which i am now enjoying after understanding how the tracking device/pulse radar thingy works.
Nice trailer for Max Payne 3 last night during the half time of the footy, not blown away by the graphics from what i saw last night but I'm sure the game is going to be pretty decent .

Oh and I'm Loving Prototype 2,yeah it gets very repetitive but there is nothing like shooting the [censored] and blowing up things, hijacking tanks and helicopters and ripping the [censored] out of everything.
