I will be mostly playing UC2 which landed on the mat this morning. Can't wait.
Everybody else?

You got to hand it to shopto.net there delivery times are excellent, not playing anything at the moment but will be playing Gravity Rush on the Vita next week and Lollipop chainsaw on the 360.
To be honest im not in the mood for gaming past few weeks apart from Max Payne which i hammered and still got Ghost Recon to go through though I'm not blown away by the single player experience and the fact you can not control your squads like previous Ghost Recon games.
After that only Far Cry 3 has me slightly excited and Black Ops 2 will have to be something special for me to even bother this time around as these Cod Games and Fps in general are beginning to bore me to death.

Yep. Ordered it at about 8.30pm on Thursday and got an email with picture of dispatch at 9.15pm.
I know what you mean about FPS. I'm the same lately which is why I picked up Uncharted 2. I actually think its better than UC3 if I'm honest. A brilliant cinematic experience for a Saturday evening. Loving it.

Glad you are liking them matey, strange as you were not convinced about them when they first came on the scene and i think I'm right in saying it was quite a few months since you played them after release.

I'm mostly playing the Beta of Guild Wars 2... so far, looks and feels good, with a more free-form approach to the MMO mechanics - So, everyone can heal a little or tank a little, so you're not constantly spamming for a Healer...

Yes mate. I never played any until UC3 and you are right I picked that up in the new year.
Now I'm playing the series backwards and if I'm brutally honest, I think that UC2 is the better game, action packed and with a really great script, which is important on a railed game.
I don't mind rails when it is so well done, and that's an understatement for this series.

Suits you sir.

Think i agree with that statement as i much preferred Uncharted 2 over 3 even though they are all awesome gaming experiences.

UC3 has some amazing set pieces, but 2 feels a little more full on fighting wise.
I am expecting the original Uncharted to be far less refined after playing the demo, but will still really enjoy it I think. Especially for a tenner.

I've only played UC 1 and 2
I think 1 was the better of the two
|
|
|
So you are working your way backwards? Do you do that with every game (Bioshock etc). Strange man.
|
|
|
Yeah i think he has a little chinese in him or something as they read books back to front
|
|
|
Yeah, I think a lot of people's cultures read and write back to front. Of course it would never be us Brits who are the weird ones with our strange milk in the tea drinking ways and left side of the road using shenanigans.
Maybe Mrnelster is a time traveller or something, only he was away at the time when all those games were out. Something to do with having kids perhaps? Back to the nappy part one/two and three. Finally, he's on More time in the evening or something maybe? My mates always complain they have no time to themselves now they've got kids. But no one forced them did they? Best to stay away from all that lark. More time for moonshine and games.

So you are working your way backwards? Do you do that with every game (Bioshock etc). Strange man. When the crowd says "Bo Selecta!"
|
|

But no one forced them did they? Prove it.
I reckon my drink was spiked.

Well, it had to have been! Your mind was mush at the time but women have a way of making it like that and keeping it that way. (He says, ahem, sexistly & cowardly in case any ladies are reading.)

Reading the book backwards is just Wong Just finished UC2 (which can't be in the Wong order as it is in the middle ) and loved every minute of it, probably a little more than 3.
Off to pick up the first installment now if I can find a copy.

Well I reckon the first instalment is the best so you're in for a treat

Well I reckon the first instalment is the best so you're in for a treat Spent two or three hours on it last night and I think you are right mate.
Even though the graphics are slightly less refined (obviously) and the climbing mechanic also feels slightly clumsier, the way the enemy moves is far more challenging and it is harder to just beat them up if you run out of ammo. And I don't remember ammo being a problem at all on UC3. Overall it definitely feels the hardest of the three so far and great fun. I think it will have to go a long way mind, if it wants to beat UC2 in the environment stakes. Some of the settings in Amongst Thieves were beautifully detailed whilst still remaining easy to look at.
Anyhoo, in about 10 hours time I will be looking for a similar experience elsewhere and don't really know where to look? A UC4, PS4 launch title perhaps? Then I can see if playing in the present tense is all that it's cracked up to be.
