Grand Prix 4

Visiting a friend who has Grand Prix 4 on a Vista machine. Runs fine.

On his new Win7 one it installs, but when you try to run it you get the small blue flash screen, then that goes and a similar size black box appears at the top left, then takes over the whole screen, arrow cursor in the middle, and zilch.

By whole screen, I mean that. No task bar etc. Only solution is to switch off.

Have deleted and re-installed a few times, tried XP SP2 and SP3 compatability, Run as administrator.

Anyone any suggestions please?

Not one of the games I own but there are bound to be plenty of people who are experiencing issues running this game on Win 7. Presumably it's 64bit too?

Looks like there are compatibility problems with Logitech steering wheels, pedals and the like. Might be worth ensuring they are disconnected before starting the game?

Thanks for that, but the only one that seems relevant is the one about compatability setting, which I tried. Unless the printer driver one is also still around.

Thanks also. The steering wheel issue looks likely. He has several Logitek bits and pieces, though I didn't check his wheel.

He doesn't have pedals so far as I know, or if he does he doesn't have them connected for Flight Simulator. Which works fine.
