I've been keeping an eye out for videos of Dust 514, but none have blown me
away yet. I just hope it doesn't have Section 8 type graphics.

I am intending to download it, but whether or not I get round to bothering with the beta I'm not sure yet. What about you mate?

Why its PS3 only is very odd as it would sell very well on PC, due to being linked into the EVE online universe.

(Wont be on Xbox as you have to pay to play online, could change in future)

Dust 514 is a expansion of EVE- basically their will be a mercenary market where you buy new armour/guns/tanks etc this is all made by the players in EVE.

Contracts are made by the EVE players to the dust merc corporations to accept- also another link up is a planetary bombardment which happens via a ship in eve firing onto the battlelfield.

Overall what CCP games is trying to do is bring consolse into the EVE universe which is a single shard- everyone in the world bar the chinese on one server for the PC/MAC space mmo.

How successful the game will be, thats going to be interesting to see as a AAA Free FPS is pretty unique to the console market.

It looks ok and i will get a beta invite for sure,but as ccxo says dont know why they have it as a playstation exclusive because its not going to reach many people and Sony dont even promote there own exclusive games such as Starhawk .
