Right this game is not that far away, anyone here gonna play it, think this is going to be one of the biggest games ever (yup bold statement)

The sequel to the landmark MMO FPS has been revealed and is bigger and better than ever. We as a guild/Outfit (as they called Outfits in this game) will be massively recruiting for this game, and as we have quite a few peeps from here in, thought I would spam our recruitment spiel here

Things thats quite nice to know:

List your past MMORPG experience, if any
Have you played MMO before you don't need to list them if you don't want, just nice to know what you know , don't let it worry you if you have never played one as it makes no difference to being accepted, its just nice for us to know what level you are.(in lots of ways newbies work out better than old vets like me )

What are you looking for in a Outfit?:
What do you expect from a Outfit, what is your ideal Outfit pretty simple stuff

What can you contribute to a Outfit?:
Are you a LEADER, PILOT or a GRUNT? ..or all three, what would you expect members to contribute to the Outfit, Do you see yourself leading a platoon, a company a Division? ..or just wanna kill those dirty oppressive controlling TR and double crossing alien loving VS scum

Web and VOIP:
While we don't expect everyone to post stuff every day on the web site, a intro would be nice for the other members to see who you are.
We also expect all members to come onto our VOIP maybe not everyday, but certainly at sometime, and definitely for all Outfit events! - Not having a Mic is not a factor so long as you can hear whats being said
This is dependent on how good the in-game VOIP is, if its good enough we will then use that

General
We expect (without fail) for all members to sign up to our raid planner (game dependent).
We don't have lots of hard & fast rules, but the few we do have we expect players to adhere to.
If for any reason you feel you cant meet any of these requirements then I guess The Immortals would not be the best fit for you.
We are a 18+ outfit, sorry please do not apply if you younger it always comes out.

OK In PS2 we will be a complete outfit, looking to run combined Ops:

Hawk Company (Air) lead by Major Sengar

Rhino Company (Combined Infantry & Mechanized) lead by Major Lain

Panther Company (Covert Ops) Infiltrator/Intelligence lead by Major TBA.
Stealth class, specialized in reconnaissance and communication, constantly scouting enemy positions saboteur strikes, the edge of the spear!

Last few games to mention a few we were in:
Sw:tor, as The Immortals.
LoTRo, we were called Rohan Riders there, (we only use Immortals name in games that have PvP, as in some kind of world PvP).
AoC we had 2 guilds Broken Promise on the PvE server Crom, and The Immortals on Fury, last time I checked they were still going quite well.
WaR, as The Immortals.
DC Universe, as The Immortals.

We are a fairly casual outfit, that likes to progress, (being casual has not stopped us from gaining many firsts in a lot of games)
Saying all that in a lot of ways we will be a new-ish outfit going into this game, so everyone has the same chance to advance in the outfit, old or new members, we not a clicky guild where players who want cant participate in the guild at all levels, In fact we go out of our way to draw everyone in.

Outfit Advancement
There will be plenty of chances for the new members who want to move into Game specific leadership roles from Junior officers to Company Commanders, all it takes is commitment to the Outfit and patience, do not ask to be promoted, it has the reverse effect. We will definitely look at pushing at least 6 new members into officer position, but it will not happen in a day. One area we may end up light on is tactically aware FPS players

Besides that we a friendly bunch, talk as much rubbish as the person on Mumble.
We here to have a laugh, run ops ..kill all we see and maybe re-spawn together..... well unless you in a group with Bobricka ..then not only will you die but be lost and broke as well

I'm surprised there is so little comment regarding this game it looks [censored] epic, and its totally free, free to get free to play (micro transitions)

But they have promised that you can not buy power, think this game is going to be epic from what I have seen

Thats just a few, this game should appeal to most game types, covers FPS, tactical play and mmo's. Think this game will put BF3 to shame TBH.

Raid Planner almost ready to go for PS2! Can't wait to see The Immortals Battlegroup swinging into action!

Just to confirm, Panther Company is our specialist 'Covert Operations' Company who will be deployed either on independent missions or in support of an overall battlegroup strategy. These will include tactical reconnaissance and communication, forward scouting, guerillas style skirmish and sabotage strikes, assassination missions, etc, much of which will be undertaken behind enemy lines. This is real 'edge of the spear' tactics for those who want to become experts in deploying them!

Probably because this forum is rather console centric.

The majority of gamers do own consoles as its a easy way to play games but that does not stop any PC gamer posting here if they like.

Obviously i understand your point regarding console players and there is not that many that post in here FULL STOP and the ones that do most have some sort of console if not most gaming devices.

So the more gaming posts the better regardless of Platform

I don't think they've released any system requirements yet, and I've not played it myself, but I know they want it to run on as wide a range of hardware as possible. It depends on what you mean by "do it justice".

Will struggle in the bigger firefights at this current time, could improve though since they are actively trying to make the game run well across a broad range of specs.

I'm not worried about graphics being 'maxed out' as I read a lot on other forums. But I don't know how limiting graphics cards can be in laptops? I will check the specs and post.

1632Mb available, 64MB dedicated.

How do you like them apples? Those numbers don't overwhelm me with confidence.

It's actually your CPU which would struggle, but like I said, they might find a way to optimise the client to handle more in the area better.

And from the sounds of it, you don't have a decent gpu. It isn't Intel is it?

Where does this information come from, as theirs not many games that a I7 920 would struggle with.

I play on a i7 only have a single 570 (was in sli but getting a 680) and have it maxed game runs very very smooth.

A good change is /fog off, makes the game a lot cleaner and adds to draw distance.

This game has a real epic feel to it, had a blast last night was 2.20 before I have even noticed I had being on for 5 hours, was a case of 'just one more base'
