Sleeping Dogs..........Anyone

Looks like this has a remote chance of been half decent and a lot better than Saints Row the 3rd.

Sleeping Dogs.

Must be one of the worse years for game releases with virtually everything coming out in November.

There are some pretty good games lined up. I am just finally playing through Prototype 2 which is really good, I am also playing through Lego Batman 2 which I think is also really good, it's very sandbox. Then in a couple of weeks we have Darksiders 2, the first one was brilliant so I can't wait for that. Then a few weeks later we have Fifa 13 & Farcry 3, probably doesn't appeal to a lot of people here but I love the Fifa games. Then we have a ruck of winter releases.

Far Cry 3 has slipped and its now at the end of November like i mentioned,prototype 2 i loved and i will revisit that game again me thinks due to the severe gaming drought.

It'll take more than a gaming drought to make me even consider such an offer.

Actually the more time you put into the game the better it gets,i got really frustrated with it during the first 3 to 4 hours and thought its turning out to be a button bashing bonanza,certain sections has me dying over and over again and i though to myself this is really getting repetitive and boring with some of the king fu moves not really having much effect on my targets.

So last night eventually i got through a mission part that had taken me at least 15 attempts the game became a lot more enjoyable with a huge open ended world and much to see and do on the massive map.

Learning more Kung fu moves at the school is a must and taken out thugs,triads with other means is also something you should consider,at one point i was been beaten up by a gang of about 8 and again i was getting really frustrated as there is a lot of beat so and so up in this game,so i thought to myself i am going to jump in this car and try mowing them down instead........Worked a treat .

Got to a section last night where i had to use a gun and this was a breath of fresh air and really made me feel like the time i had spent frustrated was well worth it.

So even though both Sleeping Dogs and Darksiders 2 are not really my type of games they will have to do until something of quality on the fps front turns up at the end of the year.

Counter strike global offensive is out today on Xbox live and the PSN service and i might download the demo.

Yeah, always the best way innit? I know I couldn't take on 8 guys. But give me a car and I could take out 800! Just line 'em up.

Actually spook I got bored with it again and believe it or not traded it in,I have to stop buying games that really deep down are not my type.

FPS and that's about it really .

What is wrong with Dungeon Keeper?

I'm giving this Sleeping dogs a go, first hour in it feels like a mix of Batman and GTA.

Yeah, from now on. FPS only. But is FC3 strictly an FPS? No, it's not is it? So, a few third persons will be okay and a few games where guns are the main theme. Guns. Guns. Guns and more guns. Nothing but... guns!

Big guns. Small guns. Long guns. Guns with iron sights, optical, IR and all the rest. So long as there's bullets or lasers or rockets or something then it should be all right. Or trance music. And colours and flashing lights. Yeah, that's your thing.

Myself, I like cars too. Driving around or flying things that can shoot stuff out of them. BF3...! And arrows and stuff (Skyrim). So what happened to your newfound conversion to BF3? Are you apostate already?

I have noticed a steady decline in the way i approach games and how quickly i have tired of them,I'm not saying Sleeping dogs is a bad game but anything that gets to frustrating to the point when you are playing the same piece of gameplay over and over again for about 40 minutes because i just keep dying sort of tries my patience.

I don't mind games that are a challenge but the hit detection and kung fu moves occasionally in this game are a little hit and miss.

Darksiders 2 is just another God Of War rip of and if your going to compete against that quality game then you have to do better than this,again not a bad game but if you have ever played God Of WAR 3 then this is small change.

Stop saying it's like God of War! Lol, it's not at all. Like I said in a previous post it's very similar gameplay to Zelda. I wouldn't put it in the same category as God of War. Just because you don't have the attention span don't slate a good game

Its just like God Of War..........And if you learn to read i did not exactly slate it,and if you think its like Zelda then you need to go to spec savers.

Why? The gameplay is just like Zelda, I am not saying it looks like Zelda, just the gameplay. I know a few friends that have it and we have all said the same thing. You gain weapons in the same kind of way as Zelda, you tackle each area like you did in Zelda (Ocarina of time this is). The only thing different in Darksiders 2 is they have now added loot drops and the likes so it makes it a bit more like an RPG.

It's the way the game is played, like I said in previous post Darksiders 2 has made it a bit different but the first one the whole time I was playing it I was thinking it just reminds me so much of how the Zelda game worked, the mechanics, the kind of things it gets you to do etc. Not the graphics or story of course but the puzzles and the rest of it.

The reason why I brought this up again is because I mentioned it in a previous thread where you said it was like God of War but you didn't acknowledge it, I wasn't trying to be rude.

Fine you think its like zelda and i think its like God Of War whats the matter with that,I've played the game and its a pretty decent game and a solid 8/10 in my opinion but its not really what i enjoy anymore.

I have come to the conclusion that i only really admire shooters,Max Payne 3,Cod,bulletstorm and games that let you create total mayhem.

Thinking about it game wise, 2 games released this year have actually done it for me and they would be Max Payne 3 and Prototype 2.

Awaiting Borderlands 2 to get some sort of Shooting fix but for now a play though of both Prototype 2 and Max payne 3 will do it for me
