I've been playing it this evening and think it's great
All the maps are really well done except maybe the snowy one which is ok
As the maps are so big you really need to work as a squad
Anyone thinking of getting it go for it you won't regret it

You mean Playstation plus which i have but not the game anymore .
Which by all accounts on a Playstation is a rare thing indeed because the xbox 360 gets exclusive content first 99.9 % of the time
Xbox only get it on the 11th if you have Premium, if you're a normal player it's the 25th Looks like I will be waiting a bit longer then, although Fifa comes out 3 days after that so I am going to have to plan my gaming time sensibly!
If armoured kill turns out good then it may be worth buying premium for pc, will see what the reviews are once its out.
Never liked sports games so not really something for me to look out for even though there are many millions that adore those fifa footy games.
I'll be getting them at some point - just don't know when, and there is no real rush...
Went premium last week on the xbox but the game with the user ran servers is doing me in big time!!!
You don't need playstation plus. I don't have it
Hmmm... is that good or bad ?
It does mean you can come across weird rules, and one or two admins who take offence and kill you off.
eg you may come across a map that is No RPG

Yes, some rules are very silly (especially the no rocket/shotgun use servers)...
One rule I do blantanly ignore (because it's sillier than watching Life Of Brian backwards) is the so-called "no camping" rule.
I just plonk myself in one of the Noshair Canal containers and mow everyone down as they run, rush, jump and walk past

Spawn camping is not fair, but tactical use of cover is no issue.
In some maps you can end up boxing the other team almost into their base, but this is usually due to their inability to exploit bases. Have seen plenty leave a server when that happens, but I keep on going as have seen teams 200 tickets down with 300 to go turn it around.

Spawn camping certain is, but I just go for standard camping in Team Deathmatches - if they can't be bothered to check their quarters then that's their problem. If they want to try and get revenge, then they know where to find me. They just have to feel lucky...
Well do ya PUNK
Because in all the excitement you got ask yourself a question ? Do i feel lucky

Harry Callahan has to explain why he shot a man:
Harry Callahan: Well, when an adult male is chasing a female with intent to commit rape, I shoot the [censored]. That's my policy.
The Mayor: Intent? How did you establish that?
Harry Callahan: When a naked man is chasing a woman through an alley with a butcher's knife and a hard-on, I figure he isn't out collecting for the Red Cross. [walks out of the room]
The Mayor: He's got a point.

can not beat the classics matey can you,i must have watched each dirty harry film a 100 times each and everytime they come around on Sky which is virtually every week i tend to watch them over if there is little else on in the way of films.

Unfortunately can't recite the script whilst trying to deal with people with high pings...
Brought Premium now. Had a quick play on Wake Island - thats nice.
Probably wont use Close Quarters much as the maps are too large.
IMO it's well worth the money.
I am looking forward to Armoured Kill, and yes its cheaper than buying them singly...
It's out now if you have a PS3
whoopee doooooo
I don't!
At some point I'll try and rent a server, mainly to keep out those with high pings (25+), which is usually foreign players...
By foreign would you include the Scottish backwaters?
My brother lives up in Lochland and when I play with him and his mates it gets farcical. They think they are invincible, whereas I know they have a latency of next Wednesday.

I have premium for PC so I think I get access today. I played 2 evenings of the CQ expansion but otherwise I haven't touched it for about 4 months. Time to dust my copy down and smacks some n00bs back into line
Stayed up late, and while I had AK in my server filters, there was no servers to actually play on.
XBox 360 Premium.

Had a quick game of Armoured Kill and it looks interesting
Obviously not a low ping value then
They are some pretty big maps, and co-operation makes a big difference to your chances of winning unlike in CQ where one player can almost carry the game for you

Not very keen on the mountain map
An old friend I haven't seen in ages decided to re-appear last night so I didn't get anywhere near the game! Will try again tonight
Easy to mine and block routes. did scale mountain for a look, got picked off as is obvious sniper location, but you have to check out a map

I had a few kills sat in my base with the mobile anti air which was nice.
A chopper tried to take me out but tasted my lead and evaporated in a ball of flames.
Double kill
Yawn
Yes, tried one of the large Conquest maps - unfortunately with only 5 people, it wasn't exactly exciting...
Slowly getting back into the swing of things. A 6 month gap + new maps + using horrible guns for assignments means it has been something of a struggle - pilots at colonel 100 are something of a pain to someone who is trying to get back up to speed!
Still, have had some crazy and hilarious moments in the past few nights playing it
The L96 sniper rifle is awful - and there are 2 assignments with that
I don't bother with most of the assignments especially the recon ones :/
Sniper rifles in my kit seem to have bent sights or something.
I hardly ever snipe but I always used to play sniper with a semi auto sniper rifle if on metro conquest as you can fairly rack up the kills there just spamming the fire button at close range and you also get insane spot ribbons from the T-UGS and you can spawn back close to the action easily enough
Well, I seem to pack bubble bullets...
Just bumping this back to the top for T2D
While I'm here, I haven't played this much as my mates aren't too keen on it but it is quite good, especially the nice sunny map with the pretty windmills
Thanks matey i did notice
AK is an excellent addition to BF3, i'd highly recommend it!!
I find it only works (by which it is only interestng, exciting, fun and playable) if each team has no more than 3/4 players.
You really do have to work as a team as well. I was playing the other night and it seems I was working alone
My team were totality useless
I think the jury is out (and having lunch) about whether teamwork is actually needed in Battlefield 3
Battlefield games are designed to work with teamwork- other wise lone wolf you may get quite a few kills but the game will be lost usually.
As for armored kill- it needs more vehicles ie buggies/quad's etc to get people about.
Buggies are easy meat for missiles
Some players are getting very good at long range bombardment with tanks and one or two of them can dominate on some maps.
I don't use the voice, but often do stuff like repair work to keep the armour on the frontline. It is about recognising the goal of the game, rather than person K/D ratio

Quite a few non-teamwork games work out very well - it usually comes down to which side has the highest average ping and which side has the greater number of people with pings over 100

Buggies are easy meat for missiles
I love sending a javelin after them
