PS3 game of the week

[link to this post]

I have been keeping a finger on the very pulse of gaming, for all you hip young things that love to cause a scene.

And with that in mind, this week I can strongly recommend BioShock. Eleven quid, PSN.

End of message.

Is that a new game then granddad? Only I reckon I recall playing a game by that very same name like 10 years ago or something. Yes, it was a classic back then. wink

Did you hear, they're working on another sequel? It's called BioShock 3 funny enough and it's slated for release something early next year. I wouldn't bother with number 2 myself. Not a patch on the first.

End of message? Is that a timewarp thing you gotta do when sending messages into the future and back in time? Like over and out on the cb? grin

Great game but Bioshock is very twisted crazy
If I had kids I wouldn't let them play that smile

Any other games coming out??
Trouble with my idea of waiting for them to fall in price is that I forget all about them laugh

That is a distinct possibility as having a family has led to severe memory issues.

I think it as an automatic self defence mechanism. Amazing things these brains. wink

Yeah, I remember you and the others saying that a while back, but I couldn't find the original for sale. It popped up on the PSN the other day so I thought what the hell. At least it will give me something to gauge the third one on.

Yeah, good advice mate. Don't want to have to explain why I'm clubbing kids with a wrench, as therepeutic as it might be at times!

If you want a slow paced but clever little game to drive you bonkers, try this. I think it was free on the PSN for Plus subscribers or six quid if not. Not a new game, but a pretty little time killer.

Ah yes. Children. Delightful. Glad I don't have any. wink

Mind you I won't be so smug when I'm old and there's no one around to look after me. Come to think of it even if I did hace kids there still wouldn't be anyone around who'd wanna take care of an git like me.

I am pretty sure they'll bring in euthanasia in the next decade or so so growing old shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Blimey the word censor even bans abbreviation of words now as in What The F....
I wonder how many people that visit this board would be offended by abbreviated swearing??

Kids are horrible noisy smelly things, I'm glad I didn't have any either, smile In fact I'd rather sit around in my own [censored] when I'm old than put up with them before.

You lot that had kids, I'll let you into a secret, they are going to put you in a home laugh

Played on normal for about 4 hours and if I'm honest, it became very tedious very quickly. So I did the unthinkable....and dropped it down to easy. And with that confession out of the way, I am now really enjoying it.

I think the game is very complex in it's design and adding that to the difficulty of killing Big Daddies with little ammo was a little monotonous, dying 5 times to try to kill one Big Daddy with a wrench and 5 pistol rounds.

I am now building up a rare old arsenal, so may even consider stepping up to normal again?

Nah! tongue
