Another game from the EA Humble Bundle - and I can see why it was included. Its a very monotonous game (and extremely jingoistic too).
Graphics are nice, but aside from a helicopter gunning section, it is soooo boring.
The multiplayer is awful too.
When you get to the end, you get a long, patriotic (and probably patronising too) sermon about "heroism"...

Don't think I got past the first 10 minutes ,and my god you are like years behind when it comes to playing these games

It was a poultry price - no point buying it new...

When it first came out didn't they give away early beta access for BF3? probably the only reason most people bought it. Haven't played it myself and don't intend to.

I knew this map so well, I was deadly around it even on 56k dial up
Most players were just cannon fodder that you killed on your way to get the one you were having a real battle with haha
Blimey these take me back

Never played the original either. Back then (maybe 2000 cant remember now!) I used to play TFC loads and later on also CS. 56k with 2 hour disconnects

This will take you back http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONVh2qUHbrg
Good music too
Watching that I would say game play hasn't got any better, it's just that the graphics have improved

Haha yup that does take me back. watching that it feels like I never stopped playing it lol
TFC & CS is still the best online multiplayer experience I have had, in those days I was in a few clans and used to spend time in IRC, in game text chat as well of course.

I must have played it more than I remember because I know that map so well
Remember when you were dead you could only chat to other dead people. Then someone invented teamspeak
I used to subscribe to All-Seeing Eye as well until it got bought out by Yahoo which killed it
I think I paid for a lifetime membership, they owe me a refund haha

Being the last one in your team still alive with everyone watching you, trying to kill the rest of the other team or trying to plant the C4 was incredibly intense, (especially in a clan match) gameplay definitely isn't any better.
The improved graphics don't make it any more intense they just make it look prettier

Never played it.

Yeah they got the game play pretty much spot on. Not that I would want to play it now though as I can remember how annoying it could be at times lol

Yahoo still owe me for ASE too, I had a lifetime membership also. I remember they did offer some sort of refund but my payment details or somesuch had changed and it was too much hassle so Yahoo are still not my number one fans these days.
CS-Source, I played. It was a steep learning curve for me what with those spray cans and rapid couple of bullet shot deaths. I'd come from playing BF1942 and you had to reload and fill them with another round in order to kill someone so it was quite a change, taught me to be far less gung ho and listen for footsteps and use tactics and stuff.
