Expect major server issues because they will not be able to cope,personally unless its mind blowing brilliant i don't really care,i don't have the patience or the time to even continue playing GTA5 even though i think its a great game in its own right.

Im Back to the point where i deleted the game save[yeah dont ask me why] but on a night time i prefer to watch Television/films/Listen to music than put GTA5 back on,yet when The Last of Us came out i was itching every night to get it on and play some more.

I think with half a dozen friends Jaxx and giving it a few days i think you will have a lot of fun,for people that dont do online very much and co/op and all that i think it may be found wanting if you dont have a decent set of friends.

Be the first time in a long time that a lot of people on here and everywhere else can be telling me how good or bad a game is because I've got to wait until the Playstation 4 launches and most these games that I want to play are out 3 weeks before the console...Great bit of planning there I don't think !

Not me.

Going to have to watch what other people think of all those games released before i make the upgrade....Going to be dam hard but hopefully the wait will be worth it and i will have plenty of games at launch.

I don't see Battlefield 4 been much better than the Playstation 3 if I'm honest,i hope it is but i doubt they have done much optimising for the new console.

Don't worry - a definitive review and maybe a video will be presented for studying...

Yes, it's the PC version.

On the face of it, the graphics are quite nice - they have a bit of blur on them now. Sound is fine. It is slightly sluggish, but that could be due to Fraps (although, as they don't seem to want to update the program it, it may be time to move onto another program).

However, it looks like there are going to be some serious problems, especially with high pingers (who now seem to be at an advantage) :

A) Spawn killing. Hopefully in one of the videos to be uploaded, you'll see my spawning in and instantly dying - continually...

B) Collision detection seems to now favour high pingers who are easily able to kill people - or perhaps cheats are already available. It is also very hard to see people - everyone blends in with the background...

C) Commander mode isn't in the beta (???)

D) Most of the servers are empty, and all for 28 + players, which I'm not a fan of (never play with more than 16).

E) Web based joining is still used unfortunately - seems to be rather sluggish at the moment.

F) Can't have BF3 and BF4 web pages open at the same time - can't join a BF4 game then !

Can't seem to playback Test 2 but thanks for posting your high pinger issues Toady. Saves me buying the game and being disappointed again as with BF3. As a run and gunner (which I know you're not) it was close to impossible to kill anybody most of the time.

I might buy it for the campaign at some point as that looked really nice, especially the bit on the aircraft carrier.

Please load up the laggy video if you can, it would be nice to show Timey exactly what happens when I try to play it.

Most my time will be playing Killzone as Battlefield is far from my favourite even though it generally has far more depth than the Cod Games,

Based on toadys early beta reviews I may well amend my Playstation 4 bundle as Battlefield is one of the games included,might swap it for KNACK so that will be 2 copies Shopto.net shift

Got a nice match which shows the problems with high pingers (and may also confirm that there are "dubious" players around too - if so, then it looks like EA/DICE have no real intention of stopping cheats).

I use FRAPS too. It's always been pretty basic hasn't it?

Watch the high pingers....

Bandicam seems to work properly with Windows 8 (and can record the desktop, unlike Fraps at the moment).

The demo isn't particularly wonderful and offers nothing new, beyond the so-called Commander mode, which isn't in the demo.

The weapon and attachment screen is a mess - and has lost the simplisity from BF3

I certainly wont be getting for at least a year...

Commander has been disabled for the beta at current, this is not a demo as that would be alot more polished.

The game plays and feels more like bad company 2 then BF3, improvements will come but the biggest issue at current is graphic optimisation but that should come in time.

Weapons and attachments is more cluttered though see what happens, feedback could get it back towards bf3, as for high pingers unless the servers set ping limits it wont stop them coming on.

I had a go last night. Not impressed, they seem to have taken a backward step rather than forward. They have changed the control system but it wasn't broken in the first place.
The only thing I noticed that could be positive is that the choppers are much easier to fly.
Weapon selection is a mess. They have added some way of talking that does nothing for the game and uses up a button on the control pad.

I was not excited about this before and now I definitely am not. Will give the beta a go though when I can get it on the 4th.

I actually thought BC2 had a better feel to it, especially the guns. BF3 had better maps though.

Can I interest you in a copy of Call of Duty Ghosts instead

Looks like I need to cancel this game for now,hopefully it will improve but since I am not a real lover of this game in the first place I might just go for a Ghosts bundle if possible .

Problem is these P4 bundle packs hardly ever give me exactly what I want and there is generally a game I'm not blown away by in the bundle.

Saying that I thought a Playstation 4 ,Watchdogs ,Killzone Shadowfall and Battlefield 4 was a nice option,I know both Swanny and Toady are avid Battlefield fans so it's good to get some early feedback from those in the know.

I know it's only beta but this game gets released in 4 weeks and I doubt the improvement needed will be rectified for those Battlefield fans to be satisfied.

Generally what you see 4 weeks before a game release is very close to retail,game will go Gold in a week or so and start going into production.

All I can see with this game based on early comments is one hell of a lot of Day 1 patches.

Just found out I will be getting one of those super fast fibre connections before too long..well March 2015 . Still it's a surprise considering I am in a rural area and there are only 500-600 premises connected to the exchange. ADSL Max to FTTC

Why not try the beta on PS3 then decide.

4 Against 2 ah,......graphics don't look to bad for such a big map,the window breaking stuff looks naff ,is that the best animation they can come up with for breaking glass

I made those comments based on Swanny and Toadys views and they are hardened Battlefield fans and I'm on the fence,if they are not impressed then I certainly won't be.

Wonder if it's out already for us Playstation plus subscribers

The map overall its not that brillaint, as its a basic horseshoe design you need people to sit back and defend the first few flags from being flanked over the water- do this and its game.

The main building comes down too easily, and it is better to just flatten it otherwise anyone in control of C can jump off and land on most buildings on the map- you will find alot of camping snipers and support.

The choppers are ment to be the soultion to the campers but if you even touch one of the buildings its instant death, they handle the same as in BF3- only issue is their is a bug on weapon reload on the heat seekers for the piolt.

Their are alot of nice touches in the game, as alot of shops have actual stuff instead of just being a picture as on most games, quite a few interactive bits such as the bollards/pillars/evators around the map.

BC2 biggest problem was the maps where 32 and designed for console- they laked the width for flanking options but it was a nice game and not half bad single player.

As for weapons you do not unlock weapons as you rank up with a class and overall as in BF3 but rather wilth kills for the weapon- i preffered the bf3 option.

The biggest worry at current is the Battlepacks- Bronze/Silver/Gold you can get 3 gold with the delux edition on origin.

Through the course of your multiplayer career, you will receive Battlepacks containing random combinations of new camos, dog tags, knives, XP boosts, and more! These items are designed to add customization options to give you more personalization options on the Battlefield.

You can buy these as well, its looking very much what they did with Mass Effect 3 and Dead Space 3, which is not what Battlefield needs at all.

Yeah, agreed. Very useful videos. I learned a lot of the layout watching them so when I played the beta for the first time I wasn't slaughtered every 10 seconds. No, instead I lasted 20 seconds!

People didn't really make the most of the roofs and other high points (aside from shooting through the glass ceiling at Point C I mean). There were quite a few others playing when I had a go.

Not had time to play it again but hope to have another go later on sometime.
