Beach bum news update......
Looks like I get some more cars to mod. I seem to spend a lot of my time and money in the mod shop
http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/51796/...
All the new Beach Bum content will be added automatically to GTA Online through our next title update (1.06), and will include two new weapons, a quartet of rugged and fun new vehicles for land and sea, lots of new action-packed Jobs, plus a wide variety of suitably rad new apparel, hairstyle and tattoo customization options. Read on for more details.
New Jobs
The Beach Bum update will bring a slew of new action-packed Jobs to GTA Online next week. These include new beach-themed Races, Deathmatches, Parachutes, Last Team Standings, Survivals as well as Gang Attacks for those who enjoy a good territorial skirmish.
New Vehicles
Hit the shore with four sand-and-surf-ready vehicles perfect to take on the all new Beach Bum Races and Vehicle Deathmatches: the BF Bifta dune buggy, the rugged Canis Kalahari off-road truck, the Bravado Paradise beach camper van and making a special return to the GTA series, the fast and stylish Speeder speedboat. All four vehicles will be available at no in-game cost, with the land-based vehicles accessible from the southernsanandreassuperautos.com website and the Speeder available via docktease.com on your in-game phone (call Pegasus for delivery). These vehicles are also available in Story Mode for Michael, Trevor and Franklin to enjoy - to access them, visit your garage property and the Marina property for the vehicles and the boat respectively.

I now have a fantastic fully modded beach buggy that looks cool and goes like [censored] of a shiny shovel. I also bought a Voltic and modded that.
I spent about $300,000 last night before I realised they've nerfed the payments for races. It's now much harder to earn money :/
Good news is I don't get randomly split from the lobby with my American friends when the next race/mission starts

It's a great, probably the best game I've ever played. I've never had so much fun playing a game before. I hope they port it to the PS4

Be no good for you...you ain't got one
I'm not blown away by it if I'm honest,it's a class game but the single player can get quite frustrating,I'm surprised you even bothered with it as I thought it was not your type of game.

Yeah I reckon I will enjoy it if what I have played so far is anything to go by.

I am glad there are more save points than were in previous GTA's (if I remember correctly) so it's not so annoying. I hate games where you have to replay a lot if you die.

Must say I am really enjoying the single player just played the first 2 Trevor missions...wow he really is crazy! Michael is my favourite character though, the first heist was really cool.
Got a question for you guys...does the money you make in single player carry across to the online mode?
|
|
|
Unfortunately not mate.
|
|
|
That's a shame... Lol I will be so poor when I get to the online mode especially as I won't have the free 500k . Anyway unless there is some bug that stops me I will finish the single player first as story seems really good.

I am not yet half way through the story but I am blown away by how good this games is. It could well end up being one of if not the best game I have ever played also. To think I was not even that excited about it before
It would be great if they ported it to the PS4...if not we will have to wait for GTA 6, just imagine what Rockstar will be able to do with the nextgen hardware..

I like first person perspective but I am not sure if I would like it in a game like GTA.. hard to say really, ideally they would give you the option to switch between first and third person whenever you wanted.
Deus Ex HR had a good system where it is first person but changes to third person when you take cover.

Skyrim/Oblivion give you the option to switch between first and third person view. Works well. A lot games could benefit from that I feel, even if only when it comes time for driving.
GTA would benefit too where you had to use the guns else it's strangely one of those games where your character is key so you likely benefit from seeing yourself more I guess? I dunno.
One thing I don't understand in games is why your character has to be silent so often. In HL2, playing as Gordon Freeman and people talking to him all the time and calling him the messiah and so forth and you don't say a thing. It feels weird and kind of disabling like you're mute and should be signing to them or something. Just strange. At least you don't have that problem in GTA eh?

Yeah I think you do benefit from seeing your character especially in GTA 5 where you have 3 different ones.

You are right there's no problem with the protagonists being silent in GTA, they usually answer people back and it usually isn't polite either

Especially Trevor, he does crack me up though.. love it when you load a game or switch to him and he is doing some random thing, I remember the first time he was vomiting into a little pond/water feature at a vineyard

Every time I get booted back to SP he seems to be in his undies :/ or eating out of rubbish bins

Sounds like a character! GTA V is the sole reason I wish I had a console and strangely the chief reason I'm not bothering with the PS4 until I know it's coming out for it. Though, now I've beefed up my PC graphics I will just get it on that instead. Gotta see it for myself!
