Just got confirmation email that shopto.net have just took a ton of money out of my bank account for my Playstation 4 and other bits and pieces.
Was told that they had so many pre/ orders that this would happen well before the launch/ despatch date .....anyway no turning back now.....Give it to me already......

It'll take around 15 minutes to set-up, 5 minutes to find it doesn't work, 10 minutes to pack it back up and then several months waiting for a new one
Nothing like confidence in a new product isn there
Any major store in my opinion should keep a few aside in case of problems arising with the particular item or damaged in transport or whatever reason things don't turn out as planned.
But i dare say none of been kept aside and if this extreme case does happen then there may be a wait and i will be livid

And with that Statement you could apply that logic to every single electrical item you buy apart from the wait if its not that popular.Like most of your goods

You cynic! You forgot the alternative option of:
Ordering new thermal Arctic Silver paste: 24hr
Finding out the PS4 has weird little screws that need a special screwdriver you don't have so ordering some of these too or popping down to Maplins if you have one: 24 hrs/2 hrs
Disassembling the PS4: 4 hours, removing old crud, applying new compound 20-40 mins depending on how carefully you do it
Reassembly: 10 hours as you've lost a few bits and forgotten how to do it so look it up on Youtube
All ready to play... except you need a new HDMI cable and telly.
Yeah, console gaming is really getting a lot like the PC these days.
Seen one video of a block taking his apart and adding Thermal paste to the board.Jeez completely over my head.
Yeah your right about the screw driver bit, lost count of the number of times i have encountered a problem only to find the fixing in that particular unit require a screwdriver i haven't got .
Any trouble with my unit and its WW3
As for HDMI leadsNo such issues i have plenty and quality ones i may addNot the pound stretcher variety that Swanny has plugged into the back of his old last generation relic

I wouldn't say its getting like a PC : The fault rates are much lower for them

Quality costs money and if you think a £5 hdmi cable is better than something that costs £80 then your in cloud cuckoo land
When you spend £2300 on a Television you don't hook up £5 pound stretcher HDMI cables matey

A £5 HDMI cable (for most people) is £75 better than one costing £80. Fact! Unless you need one that's 25m long that is. It's a digital signal - it kind of either gets there or it doesn't which is why there's no real advantage in having better quality materials and shielding in your cable. A SCART or component lead was a little different though.

You could always use some Linux, like for example FreeBSD which the PS4 uses, and can be installed on... wait for it... A PC!
Come on, admit it : The PS4 and XBox One are just very expensive PC's...

Like PC programming, PC video creation, PC music editing you mean ?

SPOOK tells the truth Theres no difference between a cheap HDMI cable and a expensive one as its digital. I guess a very cheap one might not last as long but if its working then the picture will be just as good.

Saw some SJY moaning on YouTube that his DOA PS4 being replaced under Sony's warranty with a refurbished unit, was a travesty.
I think someone ought to tell him that he will receive another brand new console, as currently the only thing rarer than a second hand PS4, is a sabotaged PS4.

one thing I will say, opening a pc is far less complex than opening a console.
I swapped the hdd in my ps3, took me 3+ hours to get the bracket off the original hdd as the screws were supertight, once that was done it was trivial to put the new one in but still more work than in a pc case.
I then at a later date wanted to clean out the dust etc. but the amount of work required to access the chipset is unreal compared to a pc, the difference been consoles arent designed to be maintained by the end user, they are buy and play systems, if they go faulty you supposed to either send it back for repairs or replace it

In new reclining chair and brand smanking new Television and Media set up all bar something to stand it all on .....
Correct.....that's why we like console gaming....less hassle but the downside is we can not really add any more grunt/ power in the future and have to wait for next generation, and that's why there are a few million happy gamers and a couple on here .....me and Nellie
Yeah matey spot on with those comments, but that begs the question? Have suppliers such as Amazon and Shopto allocated any spare consoles to replace the possibility that may be 1 or 2 or more of there units could be faulty or damaged in transit....I'm guessing Shopto and Amazon would have had thousands and thousands of orders and I would have expected them to keep a bundle aside for problems...
I've heard that suppliers have put 5 million Xbox ones in storage in a aircraft hanger as spares for when the Red ring of death comes on 2 minutes after it's fired up
SJY what's that stand for or am I stupid ?
I'd say very cheap PC considering what they can do .....
Go on Toady admit it ,you left it to late to pre/order and now you can not get one and your a little bitter and twisted and filled with jealousy of Nellie and Me.....The Killzone Crew
PC.....Windows awaits
PLAYSTATION 4 Greatness Awaits
Who's laughing......

Who cares about any of that.... I buy my stuff for one sole purpose ....Gaming and Games that never see the light of day on those metal Mickey cases you go on about....if it does other things then that's a bonus...
And that's bullcrap....I can have you sitting here by my television now with 3 hdmi cables all of different values in money ,from cheapo to medium and ultra expensive ,and when I swap them from one to the other you will see the difference .

And you sir need to be carried away by those blokes in White coats to a remote desert island and cast away your sins.....
That's the worse thing I have ever ever heard you say....and I thought you where tech savvy ....how wrong was I ...
So all these HDMI monster leads at £100 are no better than a couple of quid one from the market, but idiots like me and thousands of others have wasted a small fortune..
I gave the next door neighbour a Xbox 360 one because one of his more pricey gold plated hdmi broke, when he hooked it up to his set he could not believe how the quality of his picture had detoriated ,he went out spent £40 on one and said the difference was incredible ....
And you 2 think a £5 one dies the job.........John McEnroe quote springs to mind......Are you Serious

Its a shame you console owners never got a conversion of Hard Reset. But you never know, if you wish hard enough, you might get a conversion. Could call it Hard Reset : Blue Light Of Death Edition

Jesus Toady. With that music and "Hard Reset...A Hippy McSlippy Production" I thought you'd posted a porno!

Unfortunately the original music was stripped during the conversion process as my video editor couldn't handle the AVI side (having a word with Corel about that).
Glad you like it though!

Reminds me of a more of a faster paced Painkiller from developers people can fly who totally [censored] up Gears of War Judgement .Got a Nice rig there toady looks really nice, nearly as good as a Playstation 4

That's exactly right. Next time save yourself some money and buy one from the market
Like Spooky said it's a digital signal, it either gets there or it doesn't, there is no difference and if you think you can see a difference you're fooling yourself
