Example.....

You have a particular brand of mobile phone in your pocket which could be from numerous makers such as Apple,Samsung,Nokia,HTC One whatever,you also have more than likely a tablet,laptop PC and Televisions ,washing machines ect ect ect dotted around your household all could be different brands but all you or the mrs picked for a reason....personal preference ....some of them over the years like a Television for example could be from the same manufacturer over and over again....does that define you as a Fanboy of say Samsung or Sony or Panasonic ...no it don't it's just what you thought works best for you and what you think is the better product or deal at the time.

My first mobile phones for the first 5 years were all Nokias ,does that make me a Nokia fanboy at the time,no it don't they just happened to have cornered the mobile market at the time and made the best phones,now Apple ,Samsung and about every manafacturer in the world makes them and they have fallen from grace a bit.

For the past 6 years my choose has been Apple iPhones ....does that constitute me as a Fanboy.....no it don't just personal preference ,now my latest is a Galaxy S4 but I still love iPhones.

Just because most individuals choose either one or the other consoles does not make the majority of those people Fanboys .

You actually called me a Sony fanboy but that's excusable as you have not frequented these forums for the amount of time many of us have been on here,and Fanboy is the last thing I am.

At present because of various original reveals by Microsoft I have decided on just the One Console for now.....but that does not make me or anybody else with similar views a FANBOY

If the Microsoft Xbox One blows everybody away with must have exclusive games not available on the Sony platform I will go out and buy one....

But at launch and apart from a few games on each platform there is very little reason to own both....

Certainly makes you happier when games that you are anticipating and going to get get outstanding and Great reviews,lets be honest,even though they are gaming sites and journalists when a game gets a bad review it normally not far of the mark.

I have yet to get play a game thats been torn to threads by the majority of reviewers and think to myself that game was really cool what were they thinking ?

Just picked it up, it was all very tense I hadn't preordered and we got there just before 11. We joined the queue and they only had 25 available, we got numbers 22 and 23! Very happy

Bought Dead Rising with it paid £477 total, going to go to Game first thing tomorrow and trade in all my 360 games for credit towards Black Flag and Battlefield. Also want Ryse haha so will see what offers they have on hopefully some bundles?

As far as i know only myself and Nelly next week of here have a Playstation 4 coming,but i tell you now this forum when i get my hands on the Playstation 4 will be awash with posts about the console and the games.

the fanboy is a common term, the sad state of affairs is people have extreme loyalty to console brands.

its just how things are. sadly that site in the comments section has plenty of fanboys from both sides.

there is nothing wrong with liking a console, but there is something wrong when people get offended, cant accept bad reviews, faults etc. I mean there is no need to see things as a hardware war either, dont make remarks about pc's etc. There is no point.

On consoles the problem is extreme, thats why the term fanboy exists, I didnt invent the term either.

I mean think about it, people have serious mental issues if they have to post fake reviews on amazon Thats a classic example of a fanboy, xbox fanboys posting fake ps4 reviews.

I totally agree with what your saying especially your last paragraph,Fanboys exist there is no doubt about it but i would much prefer that there was as much strong competition from all the Console manufactures.

I would love Nintendo to get back at making the great games and systems of the past because i have literally skipped Nintendo last 2 generation consoles because quite frankly they are just to dam child and family oriented and don't offer much to a serious gamer.

Yeah i call myself a gamer as its a passion of mine for the last 35 years and its what i spend most my cash on,and a lot of it at that,but it makes me happy especially in the cold winter months nothing better than a great Game on a new system.

Think it will be well into next year before some amazing games get released and i will admit that the Launch titles leave a lot to be desired and believe me if Killzone Shadowfall had been delayed there would in my case be little interest in getting a Playstation 4 in 2013.

But battlefield 4 which has had a mixed bag of reviews by all accounts is suppose to look pretty special on a playstation 4.

Im not a hardened Battlefield fan and i think Swanny is there biggest admirer on these forums,but i think he doesn't even like battlefield 4 and thats a worry considering for the past 12 months everything he ever wrote on here was reference battlefield 3.

I also have ghosts but I'm to sure i will even take the wrapper of for a while,lowest ever rated Cod Game and ever there was need of a engine upgrade this is it.

So for me its Killzone and Resogun of the store which is more than enough for me for a few months.

Thats if it turns up on time and works It better.

Saying that DPD delivered a Nintendo DSL XL yesterday because of the new Zelda game and there service from my online supplier is brilliant,they will be delivering the Playstation 4 next week.

You get a mobile and email alert and when you click on the link it tells you how many parcels he has to deliver,what number you are and in real time shows you a map of exactly where he is within a minute or two�.I like service like that and not deliveries that tell you anytime between 8am and 6.00pm
