Steam sale

As you no doubt all know, Valve are doing their yearly sale for us lovely PC users - and as usual there is a lot of rubbish (they are still flogging games that are over 8 years old).

It's also amazing the number of games that aren't in the sale or are only slightly reduced (33% - whoodedoo).

Max Payne 3 is on sale though - although I found it not compatible with Windows 8.1 (Rockstar have found that some the OLE.DLL isn't totally compatible - dont know whether there is a patch for it or not though).

I'll probably get Mortal Kombat (rather than Injustice: gods amongst us) as the former has a better PC review, London 2012, Sniper Elite : Nazi Zombie 2 and perhaps Virtual Tennis 4

All bargain bin Trash that wouldn't excite in the slightest free or not , sort of the same excitement of having a new PC and playing with the pre installed tush like Solitaire ...

Steam have some good Indie games but they are not free, and the reason for that is Simple they are decent games,Left For Dead 2 as a freebie is really great as it was a very good game, but it's old hat mate and we been there, done that got the tea shirt scenario .

The thought of playing who wants to be a millionaire as a game is criminal , that show with that boring Chris Tiswas Tarrent should have been axed 6 months after it came out...

Hey Spider Solitaire is great

I got plenty to play mate and at the moment deep into Zelda Wind Waker on me Wii U,then i have Zombie U ,Mario 3D The wonderful 101,Pikmin 3.

Then on the really true next generation we have Killzone Shadowfall and Battlefield 4 and according to Nelly a half decent Cod Ghosts that looks quite sweet on the Playstation 4.

Im sure Swanny is happy with his GTA5 which i dare say will keep him well and truly amused for sometime.

Just bought myself a upgrade for the playstation 4 hard drive,a 1tb hybrid Seagate one,so I'm not installing much until i get this sorted on Monday since I'm going to have to install the operating system all over and all the games i have on it at present

I was Jax and Cyber Sub-Zero. The video was originally much longer, but unfortunately it had to be cut due to being longer than the currently allowed length.

Just tried Cyberclaw and it works very well with MK - will do some more recordings of that with me versus Sonya...

Nelly's right Timey, ghosts does look pretty sweet on next gen!!!

And no doubt just as good on the PC

If you think Ghosts looks good wait until you see Battlefield 4 and Killzone Shadowfall which actually puts that game to shame.

Im not buying anymore of this Cod Tripe until they come up with some new stuff and a decent engine as its becoming very tedious,boring and a Tired Franchise that needs a completely new direction with a lot better in the way of game play and new exciting modes.

We have not moved on since MW about 5 years ago and it still slaughters everything that has been released since,i generally thought Treyarch were the worse developers ,but since Infinity ward are only basically a name after the heads got fired by Activision i personally now think Treyarch produce the better games even though I'm still not blown away by them.

Obviously Timey isn't having any of it and i would say in general the last 3 Cod episodes released year in and year out have failed to inspire or excite and Ghosts falls flat on its face and i would rather play conkers or marbles

And let not forget it has the worse review average of any previous Cod Game released,people are catching on and people are getting sick and tired of the same rehash year in and year out.

Been playing bf4 and yeah graphically the game is very nice but just wish EA would finish a game rather than release a game for us to test for bugs!!!

Yeah they do seem to have a tendency to rush out games full of problems .

The game is better than you are portraying it to be and that isn't fair. People should make their mind up on balanced criticism. It has changed over time with modes such as Blitz mode, which is a faster paced take on Dominination, which (if you can get into a lag free game) is really very good, and cranked which can be fun. You can also play warzone type games online with bots only and still rank up, which is very important. MrSaffron's take on BF4 for example, is going to be obviously incomparable to somebody who can't connect well enough and ends up stuck with pea shooters for months on end! And for those of you who think bots are easy, try it.

And of course, getting bored with a game doesn't make it bad. You loved it, then you got bored with it. The game hasn't regressed. It just hasn't evolved as much as you expected it to. It's not balanced to label it shiite or tripe because it's what you used to like. COD (like tomato ketchup) has been particularly successful for a reason. I want to love BF4 but it won't let me. Just as giving a bottle of tomato ketchup to a lost tribe in a Peruvian rain forest is unlikely to go down a storm, if they've only got sun baked tarantula to test it on.

So stop whining and come and have a game you miserable old [beep].

If this VPN works you won't get me off BF4. I've said on here so many times, I really wanted to love BF3 but it wouldn't let me. Now looking at BF4 it's flipping gut wrenching, but I've not given up yet. I just need to work out how to get a VPN running without having to have a PC connected every time, but I'm not sure that's pissible.

When I get started I'm gonna PM that pesky Toad to death. He's the one with the GCE's.

Resident Evil 6 is currently on the Steam Sale - Whilst most people tend to moan about it (usually for no good reason),it is very good.

The only real problem is towards the end of Chris's campaign (which I have mentioned before).

So what you hanging around for ,there are plenty of how to set up a VPN connection on Google search,if it was me that would be my top priority,on a good connection Battlefield and Killzone are awesome online experience.

I will say though I have not given much time to Battlefield or Killzone and the few times I have played battlefield there was a few connection issues but not on the scale both myself and you had the other week.

Not sure about playing this evening,think we are on the Raz again,that will be twice this year I've took her out and sacrificed my Gaming.......

How can it be fast a furious on your connection ....and are you talking Ghosts or What ? which I guess you are

Got the final two games from Steam : Syder Arcade, a side-on shoot-em-up (my favourite), which timey would probably like - if only it was available for you poor console owners...

Also got Poker Night 2 - so far, I've lost $40,000...

If that's the case Toady you would love Resogun.....Unfortunatly only available to Playstation 4 next generation up graders and not Retro gamers from the past

It looks okay - but doesn't really push the console. Not that they can be pushed too far though

Now have got a video of Syder Arcade up. With this, I tried a split-screen video, showing different modes in the different halves. It sort of works (there are bits missing), so an overlapping display would have been better.

Just completed Nazi Zombie Army 2, and overall it was a pretty good game.

Some parts were certainly hard, but advancing backwards always helps.

Unlike the later Resident Evils, it is very, very creepy at times.

That looks really good on PC. Just been watching a co op video as well. Sniper elite never appealed to me but this passed under my radar, otherwise I would have bought it.

The game was pants in the first place a added Zombie Mode don't make it any better,then add to the fact it by 3rd class developers Rebellion and you got a bargain bin game as soon as it got released.

the bullet time cam is fun for 10 minutes and the game becomes one boring mess within 10 minutes and the novelty bullet time doesn't save what is a lame duck of a game and a excuse for one .

Yes, it is a pretty good game. Ignore the comments from Ebenezer (obviously the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future were delayed in the Spirit Post) and get a copy!

Sniper Elite V2 is pretty good, especially in a co-op. V3 will be out later in the year or so - apparently set in WW2 Africa.

Cool intro. That Zombie game has amazing sound effects, very atmospheric. Couldn't play that game I don't think. I would need fresh pants every 5 minutes....

There is a part about half-way through where you meet yourself going into a vortex and being pinned to stake...

I bought a sniper game last year on the 360 and loved the bullet time thing for a hour or two but the graphics where not that good and the game got a little repetitive like most of the games these days.

But i do have a thing about killing Zombies though and the game looked really decent on your PC and i expect a better looking game on next gen.

Don't get me wrong Toady I'm not loosing sleep waiting for its release and when they actually get around to it i may lose interest as many others will be out.
