xbox360 sleeping dogs free game

Well there has been a steady stream of free games on the old Xbox360 for gold members but unlike the PS3 plus service you don't lose the game if your subscription runs out .

That's right , once you got it on your hard drive its yours for ever , i already have halo3 ,crackdown , assassin creed 2 , fable 3 . i have also missed a couple but like the idea there always there now even if i drop my Gold membership and move to PSN .

I bought sleeping dogs and it was not for me so freebie or not it doesn't excite me or rock my boat ,lots of people enjoyed it and it looks like a quality game but just not my style.

Sleeping Dogs is a excellent game, think GTA in Hong Kong with great martial art combat. The story is really strong also. I am looking forward to them making a sequel to it which apparently they are.

It's rubbish that they do that

To be fair PS+ only costs £39.99 a year (the price of 1 newly released game) and you get 5/6 games every month. That is exceptional value it's too much to expect to be able to keep them without a subscription.

How frequently do you get games on Xbox with Gold ?

When the PSN was hacked they gave us free PS+ as a form of compensation, so I downloaded a couple of games but never got the chance to play them before the feckers took them away

That's a shame I woulda harassed them if they did that to me. I got Dead Nation and Wipeout HD which are both really good

Miss read your post you were talking about the games available as part of PS+ not the free games they gave away which you could keep with or without a PS+ sub which is what I was on about.

The ones I had disappeared :/

to be totally honest i don't know how many games Microsoft are giving away a month , as they don't make to much noise about them and they hide them away on the dashboard normally .

Just thought i should post up when i find something people might of missed the first time round that's still worth a play , especially as its free and yours to keep .

Yeah good heads up for the Xbox guys and I recommend playing it if you like sandbox games.

yeah I think sony are pushing the marketing boundaries claiming free games, they are just free game rentals.

if you someone who can only afford maybe 2-3 new games a year, thats a lot.

2 or 3 a month more like

If that's all I could buy in a year I would be a very bored gamer and would consider taking up knitting

Only if you don't renew your subscription at the end of the year. Your logic is backwards there I think. You need to add in the provisos you are making for a statement like that, otherwise three free games a month as long as you remain subscribed, is better value than three bought and permanently owned games a year.

Unless of course you are a gamekeeper, or (strangely) your stated aim is to own three games after twelve months and never buy anymore?

The only downside is choice, but then three game per annum beggars can't be choosers can they?

As Nelly pointed out your logic is backwards. PS+ must be the cheapest and best value way to game as long as you do not mind waiting. So if you are someone who cannot afford many games then I think it is great.
