My housemate had one and I played on it for a bit, they are a nice bit of kit to be honest. I really liked the feel of it and the control setup, although I think they would be better for kids. if you have a decent smart phone then you can play most games and the graphics are great on most modern phones.

What a daft Question ?.Has Timey got a Vita wink ask Crysalis that question as he seems to know more about what i have than i do.

And yes Swanny i have a Vita and they are a lovely handheld portable device with lots of nice features and finally a few decent games,it also works well with the Playstation 4 mate.

So there are plenty of nice Playstation 4 bundles that include a WIFI Playstation Vita..Go on you now it makes sense wink.

Nelly also recently acquired one so speak with the Nelly who i think quite likes his purchase, all he needs now is some games for it so he can actually play it.Think he is waiting for me to send him Tearaway smile

Apart from the disney collection off games which you will have little to no interest in even playing,if you are going to buy one at least buy one with a game that interests you or a game that has had some really good reviews instead of this game bundle that they are just trying to get rid of.

This is even Cheaper Swanny

And it don't include some average game pack ? no games with it but then you just buy what you like.

This is the Bundle you should buy

A Memory card is essential as the Vita has no onboard storage capacity and without one its as useful as a ashtray on a motorbike wink

LIkes:

I love the OLED screen on the current iteration. I think the new generation will be missing that.

Great battery life comparatively.

Speakers are ok.

The interaction with the PS4 is absolutely seamless, something that will likely be expanded on.

Dislikes:

I hate the rear touchscreen replacing the dual shock trigger functions, so I choose which games suit me. To be honest, Hustle Kings, Pinball Arcade and Everybody's Golf do me when travelling.

The proprietary charging lead and "brick" is annoyingly short and cumbersome, but I stick it in the PS4 now instead.

The memory cards are expensive.

To be honest Swanny, you don't need a Vita. If you want something to play with whilst on holiday or when on the plane, it's excellent. If you want to play uncharted on the bog, it's brilliant.

But if you're counting your pennies (and you don't mind the lower quality of the coming model) get your PS4 first.

Says the man that recommended Gravity Rush. I've never had 10 pints of lager and tried to fly a helicopter, but I'm fairly certain that it would be a similar experience. crazy

I think the hardware is nice but the gaming library is lacking and the lack of display out also. For whatever reason sony dont want to make a device thats mobile and big screen all in one.

I always feel games should be made mobile and big console in one, meaning both vita and ps3/ps4 would get same game library. But its a trend to split off games to each device.

although vita can play psp games it can only play the ones released on psn and 7 of the 10 psp games I want are physical umd only.

You can download the New Killzone beta game for free if you are a plus subscriber, gravity rush is also free and its something I recommend you download ,it actually cost me £34.99 when it came out and now it's on the plus service as a freebie .
I downloaded it for free on PS+ which apparently isn't good value, so that's your fault too. wink

Except you bought Colonial Marines and I didn't....suckerrrr! tongue

Seriously though, that's the beauty of PS plus. You either win or you bin, but whichever way there'll be another free title along promptly. I keep looking at Spec Ops: The Line on the PS3. I took trance's advice and downloaded it for Ron. Didn't even have a chance to install it before the PS4 arrived. Now I keep looking at it sat there in it's little bubble and meaning to get round to playing it.

Actually, I might fire it up the next time the girls take over the PS4 with that Knack game some sneaky console saboteur sent to me. I'm sure he did it to keep me off the PSN. wink
